But I don’t want to use free camera and manually pick a target. That’s what I’m doing now.
With all of the code in the programming and all of the supposed technology on our ships I want it to pick the next target automajikaly.
I’m always yelling at my captain to PICK A FRIGGIN TARGET ALREADY AND SHOOT IT. My wife thinks I’m crazy for yelling at a game. She is probably right.
I will heed your advice though and continue to play with the options. TY

Hi Ed, welcome to the 44th. the best fleet in the universe.
As a veteran of the armed forces, thank you for your service, you are authorized the veteran ribbon. As soon as I find the link i’ll provide it. There are many of veterans from all around the globe here in the 44th. You are in good company.
One of the exec’s will take of it though I am sure.

Along these lines I’ve noticed that once I have killed all visible targets my ship won’t auto select another target unless they are in my view. In other words if I can’t see it from my camera angle it won’t select. There could be 10 ships right behind my ship right on my butt and it won’t select one until I can see them.
Is there an option setting for this? I’ve looked through the “target selection” ones and don’t see one that is relevant.
Is this the same for everyone or am I the only one?
Thanks in advance.
Ps. I have a similar problem on ground missions but even worse. My character just stands there looking around while I’m trying to select targets to make him start shooting.

Hi John/wrangler, welcome to the 44th. I am fairly new myself, 6 months or so in STO and 5 in the 44th. You defiantly picked the right fleet this time. The 44th is a great group of people. There are some very helpful people and the fleet is very active in game and here in our offsite. The fleet holdings are all top notch as well once you have access to the main fleet.
Like Marcase said you if need any help just ask in game or here.
And, you are not old enough to be a father or grandfather to most of us. You will find more your age than not, I think. I am 60 myself.
Again welcome and see you in game.

Chaos. nice post. Our Dads are a big part of our lives. Both my parents are long past but I remember them both as often as I can. My dad was also in the military (Army). He was in Korea several times and went to Vietnam 2 or 3 times as well. My dad was a very hard military man but I have many pleasant memories of doing things with him. I try to hang on to those as much as I can.
My dad watched TOS back when it was a current show and I remember watching too. That would have been 1969, 1970ish. I guess it was probably going into reruns at that point. I just looked it up and TOS only ran for 3 seasons, 79 episodes. Seems to me like it was on forever.
Great read Choas. Thanks for prompting my memories.

Hi Marcus, welcome to the 44th. Sounds like an exciting job. I love helicopters. Are you in the service or is this a civilian job? You said “on base” so I thought maybe military. If you are, you automatically qualify for our Veteran ribbon.
Have fun. See you in game.

Welcome Mathew, there are many vets in the 44th. Especially the Navy. We have the nations of the world very well represented.
I was in the US Army for 12 years myself.

April 18, 2019 at 11:13 am in reply to: Silly Newbie Question 109Z Mk27 Bravo J5: A T6 starship Question #422867I discovered recently that when you buy a ship from the shipyard vendor with one tune you can claim it for free with another tune. I have been able to reclaim 2 ships with my alt that were purchased with my main. They are both fed tunes.
Hope this helps.

You guys probably know this already but I thought I would post. This thread got me to thinking …
Enterprise I (1775 – 1777)

The first Enterprise was originally a British ship named George. Photo courtesy of USS Enterprise CVN 65’s official website.

Great pics guys. Thanks for posting. My son was in the Navy on the USS Abraham Lincoln. Nuclear powered Air Craft Carrier. I won’t post a pic but man what a ship/boat. 5000 crew. Like a floating city.

Wow! Great Find. That is so cool.
Congrats.

Congrats Doug. Did you get your avatar from Paradoxical? Or was it Marcase?
They gave me mine too. I decided to keep in. Chekhov was one of favorites.

Thank you both for the replies. I do really like that ship but not ready to purchase another ship yet. Still trying to get my current one built to my satisfaction (Marcase & Paradoxical are great help) and I have another one waiting for me to put it into service.

I am a new member also and I am very happy to have picked this fleet. And believe me I spent a lot of time checking out fleets before deciding.
I do have a question though. With the numbers being up do we still get to move to the Alpha fleet after 6 weeks in Gamma? I know we can get map invites but sometimes its a pain and I really don’t want to have to ask every time I want to go to a different holding. I have been contributing to the Gamma holdings, not a ton but some, but it has a long way to go.
Thank you Marcase and Paradoxical for all your help and for generously gifting items.
Thanks for a great read Akula.
