- Why join the Mighty 44th? I’ve been playing off and on for like 6 years, but never joined a fleet. I’ve created several characters in all the different factions, and I’ve done a lot of the stuff in game. I’ve been feeling a bit meh about the game lately, and think that joining a fleet may help me feel more into it. I play every day as it is, but it’s mainly for certain events, gaining reputation marks, and slowly upgrading various characters’ gear.I’d like to have something to contribute too, and some new aspects of the game to explore.
I do have several characters, but thought it would be best to just have one join for now, and see how it goes.
- Tell us about yourself: Old man that’s been playing PC games for over 20 years. I work graveyard shift 5 days a week, and spend the majority of my free time on my computer, mostly playing STO.

Hi Rich,
Thanks for applying to the mighty 44th! You will receive your in-game invite next time you log in.
Join our 44th chat channel “44th-diplo” by typing the following into the chat window: /channel_join 44th-diplo.
This is used to communicate with our 44th Fleet, 44th Delta, 44th Gamma and our 44th Assault Squadron (KDF) – we don’t use the in-game fleet channel. We are four fleets acting as one.
As a new 44th Fleet Ensign, you will be stationed for 6 weeks in the 44th Gamma Fleet (KDF’s go directly to our 44th Assault Sqn). For a promotion to Lieutenant and fleet store unlock, you just need to meet 2 requirements:
1) Must have either logged into the game or posted on our 44th forum at least once during the review period of 2 weeks (which starts today);
2) Must be in good standing with the fleet.The fleet rank of Commander can be reached after 6 weeks, after which you can move up to 2 alts to 44th main fleet and/or 3 alts to 44th Delta. Promotion schedules can be viewed on our Trello board, with dates marked on the calendar.
Full access to the 44th forum has now been unlocked, feel free to look around. Please bookmark this forum to keep up with Fleet news, and see the most recent quarterly State of the Fleet to catch up.

I think that’s about all of them. I don’t always log on to each of them, but if someone would reply here if/when any invites are sent, I’ll definitely accept as soon as I can.
As an aside, I will also probably need a little bit of info as to what is required/expected of me on a regular basis. I did contribute some things to projects, but I’m kind of unfamiliar with the whole fleet/guild thing. Even though I’ve been playing games for decades, I’ve pretty much kept to myself most of the times.

I’m sure most of your alts will receive their invite soon(tm). Make sure that they are at least level 10 and/or have chosen a faction (Romulans and Jem Hadar need to).
What is expected of you ? well, nothing much. Unlike other fleets/guilds, in the 44th the fleet is here for YOU, so just play as you like, either solo or you can join our raids, we can join you to (re)play episodes or just hang out. We share our knowledge and help out where we can, when we can.
ALL contributions to the fleet are voluntary. We don’t demand anything and we don’t keep score – any ranking in the 44th is based on time spent in our (now also your) fleet and not how much you can donate. Since we’re pretty much maxed out, all current projects slotted are purely there for you to earn fleet credits so you can buy fleet gear/weapons/ships.The only two real rules in the 44th that truly matter are family first, and don’t be an a$$. That’s it.
Represent the Mighty 44th and go out and have fun captain. That’s an order 😉

Cool! Good to know. I’m sure I will soon have some questions about certain things, but it seems like I picked a great fleet for my first one!

Hi Rich, so I was able to get invites sent to most of your alts, but failed on a few. The error was “player not found”, which is usually a typo in the name, but I don’t see anything obvious in this set.

If you see any errors, feel free to repost, and we’ll try again. There are some other options though too. Next time that you are logged in, ask in chat if anyone is available to help invite your alts. If not, you can send me an in-game email from that alt also. When I login, I’ll see it and have the alt name exactly as the game expects it for an invite. Just send to @phoenix#6622
Feel free to do this at your leisure. As Marcase stated, there are no mandatory contributions or activities. The fleet is here for all members to have fun, and hopefully increase enjoyment of the game. See you in game!
