I evaluated phpBB back when I took over the old Joomla site and was looking for a better option. The main reason we’re on bbPress is because it integrates very easily with WordPress (since it is, after all just a WordPress plugin). Using phpBB or some other system would require a lot more integration work that I don’t have the appetite for, particularly around the user interface and account management.

Keeping everything in WordPress makes the site maintainable and usable without needing a lot of my time to support the admin side. If that weren’t a consideration, we’d be running on Jekyll + Discourse, which I’ve used independently with great success in the past.

I believe that the menus are fixed now. Please let me know if you see any odd behavior on the website (outside of the usual Admiralty antics, at least).

Nimbus is one of the locations designed for lower level players (20-30 according to the wiki). If you’re higher level, you get all of your stats scaled down to (probably) 30. I believe that the level indicator in the top left of your screen will show your current scaled level in parentheses.

The website generally assumes that a post in the Recruitment Academy is an application, so the “Join” page thinks that this thread is it for you.

We unfortunately have to be pretty careful about spam since the website allows just about anybody to sign up and start posting in the public areas of the forum.  I can see four posts from you in the moderator queue.  Do you want me to approve them or just forget about them?

Can you do that for the same page as you originally posted the screenshot with the broken editor functionality?

If you scroll up, do you see any red errors there?

Can you open the developer console and tell me if you get any errors when opening the editor and making a change to the text?

Looks like you used a non-standard apostrophe in a couple of “I’m”‘s, and the system interpreted that as a formatting request.  I cleaned that up for you.
