Can’t stay up any longer… will have to login on the way out in the morning to get my refining done at least, or take off work early, or lose 24K ugh.
I find it amazing that they know so little about running their own servers… 4h and they are “starting to see some positive progress”?
My reaction to the trailers, strangely is the opposite. Will probably still go see it tho hehe
It looks like a lot of passives for mostly ground, which I do enjoy sometimes but it looks like there is a 5% hull buff. Doesn’t look like a game changer but everything helps so I probably will, esp since I will most likely not roll a Romulan, at least initially.
This is all I can think of as a reply… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1CBftRW0F8 enjoy.
Funny stuff! and yet a little sad too… with the playing time claimed and not unlocking the EC cap? priceless
Don’t forget this is a game.
If you care to play a lot on a shoestring budget, do yourself a favor and buy the collector’s edition so you get the red matter capacitor and bank unlocks, the only thing you don’t get are account bank expands but you can use it quite well for transferring account locked items just not long term storage. If you don’t have 2 alts already at 50, go ahead and play them up over the month sub you get so you get some free respecs and full bank slots or you will be short and once you have had the space its no fun to have a char with fewer 🙁 then trade some dili to but the EC upgrade back and you are set.
The rest will come in time, no matter how much or little you play.I had done a month sub for $15 so didn’t get RMC 🙁 live and learn.
I want what Cryptic is on if they think we should pay $125 for that. For me, no way, no how don’t care how good the stuff is. End of story.
Looking forward to it!
The post preview shows black text, but it reads just fine. Little forum glitch but hey its up and running!

I would be interested in getting back into STFs, it’s been a LOOOOONG time since I’ve done that. I noticed that not very manyu folks use voice. How can you run STFs without it? Unless you’ve run so many that it’s machanical now….
Pretty much. I try to organize them frequently (usually ending up in ticking someone off due to leaving them out…) oh well can’t make everyone happy. Always up for space or ground stf’s to feed the dilithium machine. I’ll probably do 4-5 daily with fleet groups and up to another 8 or so depending on the day/time in either random pug or pickup from the Elite STF channel. Feast or famine it seems. There will be so many people in game on the roster yet nobody is talking/responding.
I don’t usually get on TS because either it is full of extremely chatty people constantly discussing non-game related topics to whatever depth with no end, or emtpy. /shrug

Do we think that the Romulan characters will be like the KDF where you start at a certain level aready?
No, they have clearly stated leveling is from 1-50.

That being said, I have also yet to see a fello 44ther in a ground stf lol.
That’s because those of us that do ground never PUG it. Unlike space, which you can muddle through in a pug, ground you usually cannot. I’ve grinded out 5 mark XII STF ground sets prior to the season 7 reputation system. Not once did I ever just que up for a PUG run. Well, maybe one time when I got impatient – and that ended up being a complete waste of an hour.
Now, just repeat after me. “Friends don’t let friends PUG ground STFs”. “Friends don’t let friends PUG ground STFs”. “Friends don’t let friends PUG ground STFs”…
LOL and yet so true. I’ve done probably my share of pugging and ground can be really bad.
The “old” STFs are pretty easy on elite once you get some reasonable equipment and have a clue whats going on. Lat has a post on the big board that might help there are some links around here as well. Get some ship components and heal in map and do your best. A *newbie* alert would let others know to guide you what to do, etc. but don’t not “X” up because of that. Most times they fill really quick. Hive is a bit tougher and requires some above average DPS in elite. Some people do ground STFs but comparatively space STFs are just more efficient.
It could also depend if you bought the defiant from the z-store in the first place or just got it from the fleet shipyard. I just got it from the fleet shipyard so didn’t get a cloaking device, what a disappointment.
I only have the defiant and I’m not currently using it… I suppose whichever can be recalled or most easily purchased again if you change your mind?
