Here’s all the equipment you can get from the rep system:

Nothing is a “must have” although the weapons look intriguing for spam clearing, and the console looks *great* for beam boats.
The Omega Torpedo launcher has 5 charges, but recharges 1 charge every 6 seconds. Don’t worry, you didn’t completely waste your time.
If you shoot a high yield Omega Torp it spikes pretty hard, but the torpedo is targetable, and is very slow =/
That said, The Omega torp isn’t great =/
I want to see what these ships do before I pay for them…
I’m not one to blindly spend $125 on things that have no real descriptions. I’ll wait for the dev blog that tells me what these things do.

1. Shield question
What is bleedthrough 10%; and is it better than 5% bleed 5% absorption? I know that it is good to know your opponent and have that damage resistance on the shield, but what about shield cap and shield regen? Do they even regenerate in combat or is it so insignificant that it doesnt matter?Bleedthrough 10% means that if a shot that would deal 100 damage hits your shields, they take 100 damage, and 10% (or 10 damage) also gets applied to your hull.
Bleedthrough 5%, 5% absorption means that that same 100 damage shot deals 5 damage to your hull (bleedthrough), and 100-5=95 damage to your shields.
As you can see, the resiliant shields (5/5) are better.
Also, shields do regenerate in combat, and if you shield power is high enough, it -definately- makes a difference in combat.

2. Deflector question..
That big dish that shines the path in front of the ship… is a bad thing since all the bugs see it glowing. I have no idea what it does, there is some graviton, positron, ion thingy about it but what it really does is mystery. The only thing i understand from all the “trons” is the shieled something and that sounds like something nice to have. I have a chance to get a jem hadar dish for complete set and i dont know if it is good for escort. Take into consideration that i like the purple color.
Generally, deflectors add bonuses to your skills. Each one does something different. The Jem deflector is okay, but is outclassed by the Omega Reputation gear.

3. Greenish borg poo..
Ok so they seem to vent that stuff a lot. What do i do when i get it? My shields go down fast, my crew complains a lot, and i end up poping all the shieldy stuff i have cause i dont know what to do when that happens.
When in fear when in doubt run in circles scream and shout!I have no idea what you’re saying here…

4. Next ship in line…
So far i like escorts, pew pew cannons and stuff, now i dont seem to be able to choose between Fleet patrol escort or Fleet defiant but since i dont have a cloaking module then its a bit of hmm.
Also are fleet modules “lost” after buying fleet ship or can you use them to buy more than one?
Both are quality ships. I prefer the Defiant’s console layout, but the Patrol’s Boff stations. The Patrol is probably the better overall ship.

5. BOFFS
These guys work so hard, and they need a break now and then, but when i try to add new officer to my rooster says i cant have any more (atm I have 6 of them) do i need to buy more slots or?You either need more slots, or dismiss existing officers

Pug team I was on last night got stomped into the dirt by klingon forces 😳 . The game itself was more fun than the hang time waiting for a game to materialize.
Just a friendly piece of advice, and this goes for everyone, If you’re new to PvP, FvK queues aren’t the best place to start. FvF is much more forgiving, and you don’t have to deal with power siphon drones, Plasmonic Leech, Battle and regular Cloaks, and Aceton Assimilators; which are massive advantages for Klingons.

Challenge Accepted.
One of the big draws to the 44th for me was that we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We don’t:
– Have some sort of convoluted reporting structure,
– Have to “check in” with a squad leader every 3 days,
– Have to attend squad and fleet “meetings”,
– Have to do participate in mandatory activities or risk getting kicked. We can participate to the level which we feel like participating, and no one is going to judge you if you decide to do your own thing. We all understand that we all have lives, so things are going to interrupt our playing time or what have you.
Some of us (like me) are min-maxers who will insist that flying an escort with a tac captain is the way to go. Others just want to fly around in a Sovereign class cruiser – to hell if it’s not optimal. That’s cool too.
Others like to have their builds tested in the hardest arena in the game: pvp. Others are scared to death of it. Hey, whatever floats your boat.
There’s room for everyone in this fleet (that is, until we hit the membership limit, in which case I guess we’ll have to get rid of inactive people) and all their idiosyncrasies, and I love that.
Now, as for never taking a Kumari into PvP again Sargon, as you say: maybe you need training wheels… but sometimes, the best way to learn to ride a bike is the keep falling down again. Because sooner or later, something will click, and you’ll learn how to ride.
Oh, and my current verdict on the Kumari FYI: Lots of forward firepower, can blow up an unprepared target in 5 seconds flat, and great with support. That being said; it’s no JHAS in a prolonged fight.
Get rid of the Chimera, since it can be reclaimed. OR, get rid of your Oddy. You can definitely reclaim that one too.
They don’t seem overcosted to me at all.
In terms of effect, the Rom embassy consoles are ultra rare mk xii consoles, so basically very rare mk XIII consoles (+32 to a science based skill I believe, compare that to a mk xii vr sci console that will give you +30).
This makes their science effects unique in how big of a bonus they give. On top of that, they have TWO extra effects: A proc (the plasma infused is the best in terms of value IMO), and a + or – threat.
Unless you’re in love with field generators (and a lot of people are), they’re basically the best science based consoles you can get in the game. For this reason alone, I don’t think they’re overcosted.
As for why you’d want + threat, if you’re an escort, then you don’t want it. If you’re selfish, you don’t want it. If you’re a tank and not selfish, you want to generate as much threat as possible, so that NPCs shoot at you. That’s fewer escorts exploding, which means more damage being done, which translates to a higher chance of STF optional success.
That being said, I think you’d be more successful with 5 escorts/carriers 😉

No more or less than any other ship with 4 tac consoles.
Which is in line with the max tac consoles that all tactical oriented c-store ships offer. The Sci Vesta variant has 5 sci consoles, and the Eng Oddy has 5 eng cnosoles, so I think it’s reasonable to hope that one of the Kumari escorts -should- have 5 tac consoles.
If the Tac Kumari only has 4 tac consoles, but with a 5/2 layout, then it’s damage potential is only a sliver above that of a 5 tac 4/3 escort, making it decidedly not worth $50.
That being said, we’re just speculating right now, and who knows what the ship layouts are going to look like. I’m also thinking right now, if the turn rate is less than 13, then it’ll be a PvE focused ship like the Chel Grett (which is fine, and I won’t buy one, because honestly, PvE’s easy enough as it is, and in that situation, I’d rather have the HEC’s hangar. Being able to do ISE 15 seconds faster just doesn’t appeal to me).

It reminds me a lot of the Normandy.
My Commander Shepard lookalike may have to find himself in this.

I guess what I mean is that I can view where I am backing up to. I can automatically stay on and shoot my target while moving backwards, and my camera angle allows me to see behind me at the same time.
Ahh. Fair enough. I’m going to say that I don’t think I’m going to give up shooter mode very easily though. Decades (and I mean decades) of playing PC FPS games (like Wolfenstein 3d, Doom, Half Life Counterstrike, all the way to Battlefield 3) make shooter mode my natural preference on the ground, and give me a spacial awareness that lets me know what’s behind me without actually seeing what’s behind me. I’ll have to reconsider RPG mode for the grenade radius (although I usually just roll when I see a grenade).

Given that Cryptic has, on multiple occasions, stated that they would “finish” the KDF storyline before making a Romulan one, it’ll be a mini faction at best (like, you can import a lvl 50 character to the Rom “faction”).
Either way. I’m not particularly enthused, but I might change my mind.
