October 12, 2016 at 11:14 pm #174756@LadyInferno (and anybody else), you can change your avatar yourself — just click on your name in the top menu bar, and you can set your avatar, your display name, your signature, and your global handle on your profile.
I’m not sure what you’re referring to in terms of rank – are you missing something that was on the old board? I see you listed as a belonging to the “Fleet Members” group on both the old and the new site.
October 12, 2016 at 12:32 am #174761It’s so easy even a horridperson can figure it out 🙂 . I had a lot of trouble getting my avatar onto the old site. I had it there at one point but it lost it and didn’t want to accept it. When ever it set my sized image it would hiccup after I confirmed and spit me back to the forum without my avatar.
The new site is really user friendly and readily accepts images from your hard drive so there isn’t even a requirement to dick around with photobucket or external file services. The interface even has a drag and drop from browsed files so it’s super easy. Even if the avatar image you select is oversized the interface allows you yo choose a crop within it that conforms to the forum display 🙂 . Looks awesome but as I said before the ease of use really makes the experience that much better.
I haven’t tried yet but I’ll be interested to see how images are added to posts. Things behind the scenes seem at least as good as the fantastic wrapper.
The only thing I’m noticing is that the text is wrapping around the avatar and title. I’m not sure if there is a cell the text could designated to a touch to the right rather than including the avatar in the body of messages. Unless you are writing something longer you don’t pick up on it because short statements don’t overstep the the limits of the avatar.

October 12, 2016 at 10:34 am #174777I meant the avatars from the old site with the pips and everything. Nevermind.
