Greetings 44th.

March’s promotions, congrats to all.

Now just to reiterate since some asked, fleet promotions are basically first weekend of each month, and ranks range from ensign (in the 44th SLD and KDF) to full captain in the main 44th fleet / KDF. Promotions are automatic, so after 4 months every regular player should rank up to captain, which is the end rank. All your alts will receive the same rank, even if it’s just a dormant farmer.

If you have reached the rank of captain but are afk for +4 months, you will return to commander rank. Players with fleet captain rank can thus be recognized as active players logging in at least once a week.

Removal from the fleet will only happen due to two main reason – you are afk for more than a year without notice, or due to an error by the Command Staff (read: yours truly). We don’t know all your alts by heart so if one is kicked from the fleet accidentally, let us know and it will be reinstated asap.
Also STO’s admin tools are notoriously buggy, so errors will occur.

NB Promotions / moves are 90% complete, but some (alts) still need to be ranked up, it will probably be complete by the end of the week.

I did get some reports of random redirects/log-in disconnects on this site from some fleet-members. I can’t replicate so not sure what happened, but keeping an eye on it.

The site is still a major recruiting tool (an A+ for looks) and a very usefull addition for our MMO community. Thanks for keeping it up and running 😀

Beyond the basic stuff like promotion from Ensign to Lt, what are the criteria for the other ranks? I notice some folks who were Captains are now at Commodore rank, for example.

Captain rank is not so much a rank as it is a title, and is reserved for active players who are online at least once a week, if you’re afk for +2 months we’ll take notice, and 4 months afk may mean loss of Captain rank. This really has no negative side effect; a Captain is just a very active and involved player.

If you come back after a break you can reclaim your captains title if you’re active on a weekly basis.
