Problems changing profile photo – sorta fixed

So I keep getting the error message “<span style=”background-color: #ffddcc; color: #880000; font-family: ‘Open Sans’, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13.5px;”>Upload Failed! Error was: Please upload only these file types: JPEG, GIF, PNG.”</span> trying to upload a photo. It is a .jpg file. I tried the following fixes, but they all result in the same error message:

• change extension from jpg to jpeg
• change extension from jpg JPEG
• renamed the file to only have 6 letters

The file is 10.6 k in size. Maybe there’s a file size limit and just getting the wrong error message?  Maybe the actual image size is too big? Image was 740 x 370 px.

I ended up “fixing” it by cropping the image to 468×370 px and saving it as a .png.  Not sure why the .jpg didn’t work.

I guess this is just more of an FYI post instead of a “help please” post.
