    • Why join the Mighty 44th? I’ve been with UFPlanets since October 2012, but I feel I’ve become stale there and am ready for a fresh start. I’m also unhappy with how our Discord is being run, so I’m looking for a fleet with a more professional atmosphere.

The 44th has stood out to me since the days of the original STFs. I used to watch your speed run videos, which inspired me to organize and lead STF speed runs when I was with the 12th Fleet. Those runs became my specialty, and the 44th helped inspire that direction. That history is a big part of why I’d like to join.

    • Tell us about yourself: My background is in IT as a systems administrator, and I’ve returned to school to retrain as a cybersecurity specialist. My goal is to enter a Tier 2 cybersecurity role once I finish school.

I’ve been playing STO since open beta and have played on Elite difficulty ever since it became available. I currently have roughly 1,190 Endeavor points. These days, I log in mainly for Endeavors and events, but I also enjoy random Elite TFOs, both ground and space. I keep my builds balanced so I’m ready for either, rather than focusing too heavily on one at the expense of the other.

Battle of Korfez is my favorite. I’m always refining my builds so I can take on more responsibility and help the team complete difficult runs. During the Korfez event, that meant improving my ship to help compensate when some PUG players struggled with the mission.

I’m not a DPS chaser, although I recently exceeded 1.2 million DPS in an ISE PUG run. For me, improving my builds is about being effective and contributing to a successful team.
