- Why join the Mighty 44th? As a life long Star Trek fan I started playing STO back when it was released. I stopped playing after about a year and have picked it back up a couple times since. I recently jumped back in after rewatching the JJ Abrams ST Into Darkness and picking up a Kelvin Intel Dreadnought to pare with my Tac Captain. While trying to get caught up how the game has changed I stumbled on your Beginners FAQ. I was very impressed by how your guide was incredibly informative and yet at the same time concise. From your Fleet information page you sound like the idea group to enjoy the game with. I like the idea of playing with other mature fans who really understand the game. Part of the reason i’ve quit in the past is i’ve never really had a good handle on ground combat which makes most mission teedious. Only enjoying half the game is a sure way to loose interest. I’m looking for a causal fun group that can also help me catch up my knowledge gap after spending so much time away.
- Tell us about yourself: I am 43 years old and married with two children. I’m a pilot by profession so my schedule gives me lots of play time for half the month and very little other half. I enjoyed TOS but TNG and TOS movies are what caused me to fall in love with Star Trek. DS9 is my favorite series with First Contact my favorite film. My current project in game is build this Intel Dreadnought into something that looks and feels like the Vengeance from ST Into Darkness.

Join our 44th chat channel “44th-diplo” by typing the following into the chat window: /channel_join 44th-diplo.
This is used to communicate with our 44th Fleet, 44th Delta Fleet, 44th Gamma and our 44th Assault Squadron (KDF) – we don’t use the in-game fleet channel. We are four fleets acting as one.
As a new 44th Fleet Ensign you will be stationed for 6 weeks in the 44th Gamma Fleet, (KDF’s go directly to our 44th Assault Sqn). For a promotion to Lieutenant and fleet store unlock you just need to meet 2 requirements:
1) Must have either logged into the game or posted on our 44th forum at least once during the review period of 2 weeks (which starts today);
2) Must be in good standing with the fleet.Full access to the 44th forum has now been unlocked, feel free to look around. Please bookmark this forum to keep up with Fleet news.
We are on twitter and use Discord for voice (not a requirement, but recommended).
As a mature, no-drama fleet the 44th caters to casual and hard-core players, so I’m sure you’ll fit right in.
