Welcome to the fleet!
In all MMOs there are those that can play all the time and those who play once in awhile. These types of games are to be enjoyed at your pace.
I for example read everything on all the quests the first couple times I do them. After that I just do the quests. Even yesterday I finally noticed that the map shows which empires actually controls which section of the map. So now I understand where the netural zone is located and why. Lol
October 17, 2015 at 7:29 pm #163403Hey I found this on the Arc site and when I did it, it solved everything for me.
It was mentioned as a solution if the game started having issues after a patch.
In case anyone else is having issues
October 15, 2015 at 7:48 am #163398Thanks for the update. All MMO suffer from the blues before a new expansi N or season as it seems to be called here in STO.
But thanks for the heads up.
Hope those that are traveling, have health issues , new jobs are doing well. real life is always more important.
Looking forward to more fleet activities in the future. Until then, I am just leveling my two mains. So I am still spending my time trying to finish the current episodes or season so I will be close when the new content is released.

October 9, 2015 at 10:13 am #162917I have just been contributing to anything in the main fleet first. I start at the top and work my way down the list. If there is nothing opened then I move to Delta fleet, if nothing open there then to one of the armada fleets.
On KDF side it is our fleet then armada.
is this fine or should i wait for the next day to try again?
mainly it is fleet marks I have a hard time contributing. But I also toss some dil every time I am on. Just starting to have extra doffs to offer up.
Really looking for advise on where to offer stuff first.
September 15, 2015 at 7:35 pm #163242Hi All,
I got in earlier today, but now, nothing after 3 or 4 tries. I actually had time to play tonight also. LOL Just the way the world works.
I no longer have the notice on the launcher about STO being under attack, but I can not get in. ”Hope to see you all later tonight or Thursday. tomorrow is no chance due to flights.
September 11, 2015 at 8:11 pm #163268Welcome aboard
I am new here also and all I can say is this game has sooooo many things that are not explained well the only way to enjoy it is to ask lots of noob questions.
The fleet has been very helpful to me, in The forums and in game. Many folks have spent a lot of time explaining things to me. So if you start to get frustrated, start asking questions. Someone will take the time to explain and help you enjoy the game.
Once more welcome and have fun!!!!
September 6, 2015 at 9:50 am #162913Just a question. Since I am in delta I am not sure I&E th main 44th projects. I have seen the Amrada holdings but not the mai. Fleet’s. I have started contributoing, but being new not a lot of extra anything yet. But will continue to help out.
Anyway, I must be doing something wrong when looking at the holdings. Please advise.
September 3, 2015 at 10:22 am #163259Not a big fan of the 3 headed dog. Like the reason for using it, just the visuals do nothing for me.
Most military unit patches do tell a story, even if most people do not realize that. Most times it has to do with the battles the unit has fought it that brought the unit some frame or credit that made it worth keeping around.
For example I was in a unit that had a cactus, a castle and a palm tree on it. The cactus was for fighting against Mexico, the castle for some battle in WWI and the palm tree was for fighting in the islands during WWII.
Some are simple like the 1st Division (Big Red One) because it was the first infantry division established for WWI.
Guess that is why I like the first one it tells some of the story.
I know sentimental old army guy here. hehe
September 2, 2015 at 3:17 pm #163254I really like that second one.
Almost every culture in the world had the bird or other animal rising from the ashes. So seeing the bird did not make me thing of Romulas at all and I play one!
September 2, 2015 at 2:57 pm #162060The other games I play are solo types. silent hunter, Civ and CIV type games, and of course XCom which I still think was one of the best solo tactical turn base game shout there.
But right now STO is taking most of my time.
While on the plans I am also playing Trexals. It is a Star Trek based game. And I find it very funny. Mir captures the made up technical talk better than STO does and has retro graphics. I find myself enjoying that when I do not have a network connection.
August 31, 2015 at 2:12 pm #163237Well I actually loaded the game on a new puter and tried again. It worked better but kept crashing.
What I found out is one of the cold case ground fights, the one where you are rescuing prisoners is broken for me. Once I decided to skip it and move on I had no issues at all. Sent a bug into Arc for that.
So I started the Delta quadrant quest line and got the first episode done with no issues at all.
I actually did some of the deep space encounters also, with whom ever happen to be there, that was a blast. Looking forward to some fleet action. Still have a rainbow effect, but trying to get all one type of beams for the ship.
