That’s essentially what I did too. Yet my biggest issue was that to level, I did 98% of my experience running Fleet actions. So in the end I missed out on 99.9% of the game and once I hit 50 the gents dragged me through STF’s and taught me what to do. Without the fleet I’d be even more clueless than I already am 🙂
I’m bad. I logged into Tribble and then tabbed out and watched TV for an hour and a half. Every 20 minutes or so I’d tab back and move forward and then stop just so I didn’t get logged out for inactivity.
Here’s the laptop I bought. I guess it’s about two years old now.

It’s quite large, definitely not something you put on your lap which I suppose kind of defeats the purpose of being called a laptop.
Sigh.. I’m 42 this year as well. And due to circumstance I just happen to remember the Altair.

Whatever you are looking at, just make sure it has what is called a discrete video card. Many laptops and even some “gaming” laptops have shared video which is junk. A discrete video card means a laptop has a real video card in it with it’s own video processor and memory.

Turbine used Pando as well, and it’s well documented that it causes some issues for some users. I didn’t know STO used it otherwise I would have suggested removing it.
