This issue was talked about on the STO forums and some users with ASUS motherboards reported that updating their ethernet drivers resolved the issue.
It’s likely the power supply, they die easily over time and very easily if you’re not running a UPS and have a lot of line noise or power fluctuations.
Speaking of PUGS, I’m a n00b, and I probably always will be due to my limited play time. But the guys in the 44th taught me a lot and when I got a job to do I do it.
Saying that however, I have now stopped running the daily borg encounters due to a complete lack of intelligence with PUGS. I’ve seen PUGS run out of time killing cubes while I tanked two cubes and three spheres and they couldn’t damage anything. I’ve seen them get owned by tractor probes (seriously!) and I’m tired of wasting my time.
The worst part is, I only need 4 of 10 to complete that accolade, and it’ll never get done now.
Allow me to be honest here as I don’t know enough to answer my own question.
Via permissions, can we disallow people from just joining the fleet to get a ship and then drop from the fleet? If yes then excellent, if no then we might want to rethink fleet recruiting for now.

I really am. But the folks at the 44th have helped me tremendously and I”m willing to offer any help if it’s needed.
It might be silly, but i’m pounding out diplomatic XP so I can transwarp to DS9.
I’m also trying to upgrade officers and get blue/purple DOFF’s. I’ve actually been quite successful so far in trading white for blue/purple.
And lastly I’m trying to complete every DOFF chain available. The chain’s offer some nice DOFF awards.
I use phasers on my ship, and i target shields as well. It’s fun dropping an enemies shields within a second of combat starting and messing them up with torpedo’s.
I was on, I was playing.
Loading screens with “server not responding” with time counts up to 900 seconds.
Then I got TWO DOFF missions for chains that I could complete that I’ve been looking for.
Got kicked from the server with a “lost connection to login server” and can’t log in now.
Not a happy release day.
