To All
I am not sure if I have been deactivated; but due to some personal and computer issues I had to stop playing.
If possible, and I am deactivated I would like to be reactivated.
Thank you,

Well D’urk (my klink) and his crew are happy to fly with you anytime.
I am more than willing, BUT my job interferes a lot with game time, I play the most around 2AM EST M-F. But my vacation got approved for next month so I am hoping I will be off for a week.

I try to play my KDF as much as possible but STO is very restrictive
Yeah, I know and I understand that is one of the many reasons why there is more Feds. But I am a stubborn old sailor, and once I set my mind on something it is stuck.
So all I will play is my KDF, I no longer even have a Fed. So most of my TFO’s are pick-ups, but with the new Patrol system (which I really like) I am doing less TFOs now.
I know it sounds strange to do the game this way, but it is were I get the most enjoyment out of the game. So I will play just the KDF, unless STO comes out with a “Pirate” Faction.

Well I going to bring this thread back up to the forefront again. I know most of the players in game and in fleet are Federation, I know this little thread will not bring many over to the KDF. But I would like to see more KDF in the 44th Assault
I think this largely because there is more Fed Ships, and Star Trek was more Fed-Base. But for me there were three races in Star Trek that stood out to me as a kid and then as an adult – Orion, Gorn and the best of the best the Klingons. So when I change from Champions Online to Star Trek Online, I planned to play KDF.
But I started watching YouTube videos, and I started a Romulan Alien and allied him to Federation. Well he was okay, but I was never really happy with him. I just did not like feel the Federation, and I am not knocking the Fed, this is a personal reason but more I played him/Federation less I like him.
I wish I was better with words, so I could explain better. But I like the IDEA of a Federation, I just could not get into playing them. So after trying, and trying to play and stay interested in a Federation Toon, I accepted I cannot do it. So now I play only KDF Allied or KDF Toons.
Now this thread was about KDF Wednesdays and while I could not always join up because of the hours I play. I hope that we are still doing this?
So if you are tired of the Federation, and something beats in heart that is different, older, stronger, braver. If there is something deep in you that thrills in to listening to old battle songs, or loves bikers and or Vikings!
Make a KDF Toon and let the WARRIOR in you RAGE!

You are both more than welcome, FYI from what they are saying on Reddit, the BOff is one per account not all your KDF Captains can have it.
I am at work so I hope the BOff is a good one. I will not be able to see until about 1430.

That’s a good-looking starship.
A lot of the starships in the shows and movies are very nice looking, BUT was I really disappointed in the Disco-Era Klingon ships, I understand times change, and it is set in a earlier time period.
But some of those ships are butt ugly, the only one I liked at first was the M’Chla BofP, but now I am starting to get used to the look.

Thanks for the post SgtKen. Brought back some fond memories.
NP shipmate, Star Trek has always been something I liked to talk about. Not so much what is or is not canon, but more of the enjoyment.
I used to play Star Fleet Battles, and I can remember a couple of the players in the group being upset that with Star Trek: The Motion Picture, the Klingons did not look like “canon” Klingons. It was getting heated, and I ask a simple question “should not Gene Roddenberry be the person to decide what canon is ?”
Well one of the debaters look at me and in a raised voice “NO! why should he?”
LoL 🙂

Well @Marcase, I love TNG as well. I guess deep down I like all Treks, even Discovery (a little). I never got to much into Star Wars, for me it was not Science Fiction but more of Science Fantasy. And I have only seen the first three original SW Movies, never had any interest in the rest.
But Star Trek TOS and the Star Trek/Cartoon are my favorites always will be. It is more than the whole cannon debate, for me it is more of a memories thing, with each of the ST series. Each one of them, have been part of my life and there is part of each series that I have enjoy and stuck in my mine forever.
Just like my favorite Captain was Sisko, I mean he punched Q! That made my laugh so hard “You Hit Me!, Picard Never Hit me”. “I am not Picard”. It was stuff like this that makes me enjoy Star Trek and always will. I have hope the season 3 of Disco will be better, and ST: Picard will blow everyone socks off.
But I know there will be the old cannon debate firing up again. But for now I remember the TOS Klingons and Kirk and them fighting them with a smile. And of course the original Gorn, too!

August 27, 2019 at 3:56 pm in reply to: Command a Romulan Ship on Any Captain! So what does the Fleet Think? #424684Maybe we see Cryptic creating more warbirds now that more players have access to it.
That would be nice, I just have the one (Shamshir) and most likely will not get more. I like the ship a lot but I am not a “Hard Core” Rom. Player.
I might make a later Orion Captain (KDF) who used her “wiles” to get a Shamshir from a Romulan Official 🙂 It sounds like a good base for a background story.
Right now my all STO thoughts have been on my Ferasan Commander and earning her ship traits. About a hour left to this 12Hr day, two in row not as easy as when I was 40, (now almost 60).

August 27, 2019 at 7:08 am in reply to: Command a Romulan Ship on Any Captain! So what does the Fleet Think? #424678Well @G’Luv, I am not a huge RP, I am a little slow typing in game so it makes it hard to be a “good RPG’er” in the Computer Worlds. But saying that, I do like a game to make some sense.
So I can understand the idea “of sharing tech”, but whole ships? As a old pen and paper RPG’er, it just does not make sense. It would be like the US Navy giving one of our Subs to the Chinese Navy!
But again, this is my RPG’er talking, I will learn to deal with, and since I have not seen any other games that have any appeal to me, you gals and guys will be stuck with me.

August 26, 2019 at 4:11 pm in reply to: Command a Romulan Ship on Any Captain! So what does the Fleet Think? #424674Very good point @Fourtwenty, I very confused why Cryptic would do this (besides money), would it not be better to improve the whole Romulan/Reman Faction – with new ships, stories, etc? Well all the factions IMO.
And what about new Romulan Ships (thinking Picard here) are they going to be on the open to every faction or just the Republic or the Rom Empire?
And far as backgrounds for characters, while the Republic/K. Empire/Feds are sharing tech, I would have a hard time believing that any of them would just give all the plans to one of their ships let alone one of the built ships itself!

August 26, 2019 at 4:57 am in reply to: Command a Romulan Ship on Any Captain! So what does the Fleet Think? #424666I understand, where you are coming from @Marcase. Until now there was only two things I did not like about the Romulans it was the Singularity Warp Core (BUT I liked the Warbird powers so I learned to deal with it) and not being able to get rid of Tovan Khev (nothing is wrong with him just want my own crew).
And I looking forward to have my Shamshir for the rest of my Commanders, but still this feels like a short cut on Cryptic’s part; instead of expanding/improving the Rom’s ships, story line, etc..
Cryptic: So instead improving the Rom Republic; Let’s just give the Rom Ships to the Feds and KDF.
My biggest worry what does this entail for my beloved Klingon Empire’s Ships? Am I going to see Fed D7s? Or KDF Enterprises?
EDIT: And for me this makes the game as a whole less appealing for me.

Yes I have to agree with you on how they did the sisters “departure” in Generations.
Loved/Hated the sisters in Trek; other words they acted their roles perfectly (IMO).
And with the firestorm on Reddit over YouTube and a certain Ambassador, it has been a low week for my STO online reading.

I think when I get home, I am going to rename my Vor’ral to Sword of Lursa: Lursa’etlh.
And here is a new pic of my Vor’ral re-skinned to Vor’cha. https://i.imgur.com/qQbrrBs.jpg
