STO concept artist on T6 ship’s new look

His logic (read; quasi techno-babble) is sound, but the new angular ‘razor’ look of the Tier 6 Intelligence ships will take some getting used to. I don’t dislike the Fed Tier 6 ships, but is it “true Federation” ?

Of course, this all changes nothing as I’ll still want the new shiny ships with their new bells and whistles…

He explained it well. In one of the comments below that text, one of the devs said we will get old ship materials so they will look much more “true Federation” than they currently do.
