Tell us about yourself: Been a Trek fan since I was a kid. Started with TNG and watched TOS in reruns, but have seen all of the shows and movies. New to STO, and MMOs, but have been playing console and computer games since before I can remember.
Why did you choose the Mighty 44th: Being new to the MMO genre in general, looking for a fleet with both casual and active members, but respect that not everyone can make it online every night. After reading your website, this fleet looks like a good fit. Plenty of active members to get things done without requiring that all members participate in every event.

Join our 44th chat channel “44th-diplo” by typing the following into the chat window: /channel_join 44th-diplo
This is used to communicate with our 44th Fleet, 44th Delta Fleet and our 44th Assault Squadron (KDF) – we don’t use the game provided fleet channel.
As a new Federation Ensign you will be stationed for 2 weeks in the 44th Delta Fleet, (KDF’s go directly to our 44th Assault Sqn).
After 2 weeks you will be promoted to Lieutenant with limited fleet store acces, and you have the option to be transferred to the main 44th Fleet, or ask for unrestricted access to all unlocked Tier 3 and 5 stores.For a promotion to Lieutenant you just need to meet 2 requirements:
1) Must have either logged into the game or posted on our 44th forum at least once during the review period of 2 weeks (which starts today);
2) Must be in good standing with the fleet.
Full access to this 44th forum has now been unlocked.

In all MMOs there are those that can play all the time and those who play once in awhile. These types of games are to be enjoyed at your pace.
I for example read everything on all the quests the first couple times I do them. After that I just do the quests. Even yesterday I finally noticed that the map shows which empires actually controls which section of the map. So now I understand where the netural zone is located and why. Lol
