Tell us about yourself (trek/game history, whatever you want us to know about you): I have played MMO’s for 10+ years with a lot of friends. The MMO’s have began to fall out of favor with me for my love of FPS’s. The only other game that is of the MMO type that has kept my attention is STO. I have watched all the Star Trek Movies and shows multiple times(except DS9, never really cared for the spacestation story). My favorite show out of them all is Voyager. Janeway is my favorite Captain, but my favorite character is Worf.
Why did you choose the Mighty 44th: After looking over the few Fleets that replyed to my thread and then looking over a few with a thread of their own I decided between 2 Fleets. UFP and 44th. Both seemed to provide what I am looking for where UFP was quite larger than the 44th. But that, to me, is something of a good thing. I am not looking be lost/forgotten in the confusion of such a large Fleet roster and there could be the possiblity of that happening with UFP. So in the end the small numbers in the 44th, to avoid getting lost or forgotten, is why the 44th won out over UFP. Perhaps once my application is accepted and I begin to get to know people in the fleet there will be more reasons as to why the 44th was a good choice.

Tried sending an invite, but it gave me an error. Says you are not accepting fleet invites. So you need to change your privacy settings. Open your social window, select the ‘team setting’ tab. At the bottom, select ‘privacy’. Turn off anything that say ‘Allow only…’. Hopefully, that will fix it. Otherwise, let me know when you are going to be online, and I’ll what I can do.
I am currently online. I checked the settings in the Privacy window and all those settings are set to Off. Would me recently leaving a fleet within a day or two have an effect with this problem?

welcome to the 44th Mysticor. i am a very active player and grew up with star trek. i watched TOS first run. like you, my wife and i thought Voyager was very well done and DS9 was little more than a soap opera.

Hate to break it to ya… they were all soaps LOL just a matter of which you like more or less.
I know this is an extremely old application. And until the past month I had quit playing for a couple years. The reason I had quit was because every time I would log onto the game and look around at all the ships near me it looked like Babylon 5. I even tried changing where I would hang out and it was the same. Earth Spacedock looked so odd … all those odd ships hovering around a few starbase/shipyards that looked like Federation. I felt like Star Trek had gotten lost in all the multitude of non-Federation ships. I attempted to log back on during those years I was away and some things were looking familiar again. But now I am back, not that I was anyone special to be worried about being gone. But I do appreciate not being kicked from the fleet while I was away. Upon my return to this game and to this fleet that I am grateful to be apart of I started a new character. A Starfleet Engineer. I just recently reached Admiral rank on him and was wondering how I could go about joining the 44th with him. Do I need to do an application for that character? Are there rules about alternate characters? I admit I should go refresh myself on the rules for the fleet. I will do that while I await a reply.

Since you already were a member of the 44th you don’t have to re-apply, we’ll just ‘reactivate’ your current account, asuming you’re still using the same @darthfourtwenty in-game. When you’re back in-game just shout out in our 44th-diplo channel and we’ll get you sorted – as a veteran you skip the usual 2 week probation and will be promoted to LT immediately (this is account wide, so all your alts will have the same fleet rank). LT gives you access to the fleet stores of which we have many now; our own fleet starbase, mine, R&D Lab, Spire etc etc.
The changes are many, so take your time and just enjoy the episodes to catch up on the story. Any questions don’t hesistate.
We did dropped Teamspeak and use our own 44th Discord now, which is free and can be used via your browser. It’s quite lively so I recommend to check it out.
