Hello 44th, a small Fleet project(s) update.
Some of you wondered why there are so few fleet projects gettings slotted now, and yes, that’s on purpose. We are going to focus all (Fed) fleet efforts on closing the 44th Delta Fleet final Tier V starbase project, meaning most fleet projects on the 44th (Main) Fleet side will remain empty after the current ones are filled.
There will still be certain projects slotted (primarily the Colonization civil/prisoner sink one) and perhaps the fleet boosts (dilithium/xp) but overall we will only slot major projects when asked (and you can ask for a project yourself, all we ask is that you’re able to fill approximately half of it). Also, you can still find fleet projects in our Fed Armada so your fleet marks can still find a new home, though I expect our Armada friends will also slow down projects soon.
All this is in anticipation of the coming new Fleet holding when Season 14 goes live in October, so everyone gets enough time and a chance to save resources – primarily dilithium and Doffs – of which we will need A LOT.
Initially we will focus on the 44th main fleet holding one so we can see what we can get, and complete the Delta one at a more leisurly pace – similarly we ran the entire Delta fleet as before. This way we can skip certain ‘nice to have’ options on Delta so we don’t waste valuable resources. KDF will follow this example to, in the spirit of the true Klingon warrior ethos, only the more honorable projects will go up.
As a reminder, you can get Free Doffs every 2 days from the Personnel Officer either at the Fed/KDF Academy and our Fed/KDF Fleet Starbase – if you start picking those up regularly you can get a lot to give yourself and our fleet a big boost.
As a reminder, you can store Doffs in your mail (find a mail terminal) if your doff roster is full. Tip: when the new S14 fleet holding does go live the common white Doffs will also balloon in price so you can also make some nice ec on the exchange by then. Also you can cross-donate Doffs – Fed Doffs can be donated to KDF fleet projects, and vice versa. Since KDF toons can pick up tons of prisoners you can move those (via your mail) to a Fed toon for easy fleet credits when they are put into the aforementioned civil/prisoner project (that’s why it’s up so often).
Besides Doffs, this is also a good time to start saving some dilithium/zen. With still a month and a half to go it is wise to park some dilithium for the next season – there will be more discounts coming asking for you to spend any left-over zen so you will want to buy more with real $ with next season’s launch – Cryptic has to pay the new voice-actors after all.
If you can, try to save up to a minimum of 6,000 zen (a lot if you’re free2play I know, that’s why we’re starting early 🙂 )
so you can have access to any new (ship) bundle or S14 starter pack if they launch it. Full packs usually go for 15-16,000 zen (!) Of course you can pay for it but remember the Ferengi’s Third Rule of Aquisition “Never spend more for an acquisition than you have to.” 😉Hope this clears it up. Cheers all.
