Here is your 51st Sunday Supplemental for June 27th 2021.

This is how we communicate between our (4) Fed and (2) KDF fleets. It isn’t a rule or requirement, but things will seem very quiet in the fleet without it.

Fleet Housekeeping
The 2021 Comfy Costume Contest has come and gone! It was a blast! Thanks to everyone who made it! We ended up with a tie for everyone else in 3rd place, so everyone in 3rd place got a key. Here are the 1st and 2nd place winners. Congrats guys!
It was such a confined area that I couldn’t seem to get any better screenshots of everyone. Ignore the Mirror Vulcan in the background if you would please 😉

Speaking of contests, we will likely be doing another contest towards the end of July as well. It should make for a nice distraction from the summer event. By that time, everyone is usually a little weary of the event.

Colony Sims Revisited!
Greetings captains! We are still looking to bring back Colony Sim runs! This is of course open to all fleet members, armada members and pretty much everyone else since they can be run with up to 20 Captains. Here is the link to the announcement posted by Kwolves. If you are interested, just post a response to the original post and let us know what time works for you. So far there has been quite a bit of interest!

The Captain Fleet Rank
In the past the Admiralty has (and still does) nominate members for promotion to Captain. In the 44th Fleet, the rank of Captain has generally been awarded as a “thank you” to fleet members who have gone above and beyond. This includes large contributions of dilithium, doffs, expertise, EC, etc. Or consistently helping other fleet members with missions or teaming up for TFOs. Crafting items for fleet members. Demonstrating unselfish generosity. Offering to help fleet members get their new alts into the fleet. Answering fleet members questions and trying to help out in general. Has been active in the fleet for several months. The list goes on and on……
The current and official criteria are the following:
Since the criteria have not been all that clear and because we have such a large and active fleet, some deserving individuals may have been overlooked. So, if you feel that you or someone you know in the 44th isn’t a Captain and you feel you or they deserve to be, feel free to contact an Admiralty member and tell us about it. We will certainly look into it.
Wrap Up
I just want to say thanks to everyone who chose to fly with the 44th Fleet! You make the 44th Fleet what it is! And I want to thank everyone (these wonderful people here) https://startrek.44thfleet.com/fleet-officers/who keep the 44th Fleet running smoothly.

Yeah I would have to agree, Dilithium Exchange – this has been a huge debate on Reddit, I have seen post on ideas on how to replace it to making more and better Dilithium Sinks, etc..
Also I am going to post this here, I have been having issues with the game crashing. So I have not been playing as much as I want too, and I have been talking with Game Support.

@Ken Sorry to hear. I have heard some ARC related issues (crashes/hang ups) from others as well. Hope they fix it (and ofcourse fudge something else in the process). I’ve been playing the game directly via the STO.exe since forever, only using ARC to buy/redeem codes.

I was disappointed to miss the cozy costume contest too but work wrecked my funsies 😔. I feel vindicated that my choice of costume was the right one but I’m sure my colour choices would have been cozier 😃! I was thinking pink and baby blue with a Talaxian model to channel that extra oodie wearing slacker surfing your couches 😛.
@SgtKen60 Yeah, reddit is still a built of trash fire on that topic. I can’t recall a post I’ve made there getting smashed by so many down votes before 😆. I took the jerk approach for a suction and suggested a $5 a monthly seller’s license fee for FTP dil sellers. I think it would thin the herd and have the potential to reduce supply without affecting the rest of the community. I think that the glut of dilithium demonstrates that the FTP population can’t be sustained as it is. $5 is 3 cups of coffee in the run of a month. It’s a token sum but it is enough of an obstacle some would refuse to pay and quit on, “principle” that would reduce the seller population to a more sustainable level. Any proceeds could be earmarked for at least a part timeQA IT type to try and repair the damage this game is sitting on.

Yeah it’s been not a fun time, my last email from Support said the following “I appreciate the files you have submitted. I have forwarded your ticket to our higher tier of support for further investigation. We’ll let you know once we have an update.”
So I pretty sure that’s a nice way of saying, “We don’t know what it is, we are passing the buck” 🙁
Then this morning my video card drivers crashed, had to do a uninstall/install for it.
