SRS Application of an Alliance

The Special Reconnaissance Squadron or SRS is an international group of fleets in Star Trek Online MMO. SRS was founded back in 2012 with the intention of becoming a leading fleet in the game, but one that was mature and relaxed. Drama was always something to be avoided and our fleet members would agree that being a member of SRS is a rewarding experience. SRS is a great home for you and your characters whilst playing STO. SRS is actually much bigger than was originally planned with the addition of the Armada system. The Armada system, coupled with our ability to make friends has allowed for many fleets to join in from; The Superiors, 111th Fleet, SETF-Delta, Shadow Galactica Corps, Setec Astronomy, Arctic Defenders, Task Force 74, Federation Misfits, and True Neutral. This and more has allowed us to become a Joint Command. What is a Joint Command you may ask, and it is where other fleets can come and all have a place to be under the same roof. Every fleet has the independence to do what they want, as long as they don’t interfere or cause problems for others!

We have many branches to our Joint Command from PVP to PVE. They are all staffed with very knowledgeable and professional people, at the end of the day we care about YOU, the player. For PVE we have a record at ~175k, while this isn’t the best it’s our work together and ideas that helped us get to where we are. For PVP we have a presence in Kerrat with the Red Tail Squadron, always being respectful no matter how bad the situation gets. We pride ourselves with being very knowledgeable, but not to the point of being annoying or saying we’re the best because we’re not. We started learning a long time ago and still are, along with that we’re open to suggestion. We are further along the path of knowledge but, you hold the lantern in your hand and we show you the path.

We also have events that define who we are. Each year on January the 18th we hold a Galaxy day which honors the Galaxy Class as a denounced ship. That day offers us the ability to bring some light to it and hopefully increase people’s awareness about it to see more in game. We also have daily events called Episode Replay’s. This is where people from either faction hold a replay for the purpose of re-playing an old mission for a random reward from a superior tech upgrade to a special console. Not to mention we also do, additional events on top of the seasonal events. From Hide and Seek on Risa in the summer, and snowball fights in the winter. We also keep an open mind and are open for any event ideas. Or if you want to do it yourself, go ahead! We encourage people’s creativity, initiative, and peer interaction.

With the recent creation of the Alliances with other fleets and armadas we have been very reluctant to accept the Coalition 2016, AF Alliance, Starfleet/Romulan/Imperial Marines, Vice Squad, 10th Fleet, Soldiers At War, The Starfleet Reserve, FED Temporal Ninjas, Alpha Strike Armada and MORE! Each one of these groups of people have benefitted very well from our Joint Alliance. Not only that but we are also waiting for the confirmation from several other fleets to get back to us. We use our own chat channel to communicate Alliance wide. Plus most of us have our own TeamSpeak, and use of ours is at your discretion.
