Hi fleet,
I need some advice concerning the acquisition of a new ship. Xargh is a fed tactical officer, but not necessarily limiting my selection to cruisers and escorts, although those are my favorites. I’m currently piloting the Nandi summer event ship, so ugly, equipped with Dual Heavy cannons, Chronoton torpedo, turrets and mines.
Although the ship is solid I want to be back on the bridge of a fed star ship.The new T6 heavy escort carrier sounds cool, but was also thinking of the fleet T6 battle cruiser. Anyway, my question is this. As a casual player who currently only has time to equip one ship where can I get the most bang for the proverbial buck?

It really depends on preference and playstyle, but if you want to have a good cruiser-type ship the T6 Presidio Tactical Command Battle-cruiser is very nice as an all-round heavy hitter. There’s a three/multi-pack, but you can just pick the best one and that’s the Tac Presidio.

I’d pick this one over the alita/akira.Overall Boff and console layout is nice, it has a hangar and a dynamite captain trait (All Hands On Deck). It’s console is utter meh and it’s expensive at 3,000 zen (so it might be cheaper to go for a 3-pack, but that’s up to you), but it’s a solid ship with enough possibilities to keep it interesting for an all-round boat.
The T-6 Intel Eclipse is still a favourite of mine as it packs more DPS and its intel seats are also not too shabby. The T-6 Phantom is a wicked escort if you want to stick with a Defiant play-style.
"Boldly bashing Borg to bits since 2012..."Maybe a T6 Hestia? She looks cool and her stats seem decent enough for FED TAC captains. I intend getting one for my FED TAC captain as well.
There have been very strong hints that there is a T6 Odyssey on the way, and that they have “something special” planned for it. If you like that design (I know it’s fairly polarizing, I like it quite a bit), it might be worth waiting to see what comes out of that.
Speaking of upcoming T6 ships, I think we can also expect T6 Sovereign to be released very soon, as she is one of the most iconic ships next to the some that were already released and those that aren’t (Defiant for example). She would probably have some decent stats and a good looking new costume as well, so it might worth waiting a little longer.
