Are there any other games you are playing?
I’m currently on Dreamfall Chapters, sequel to older game – The Longest Journey (1999.), one of the first I played on PC. At that time I discovered some other point&click games – Broken Sword, Blade Runner, Nightlong, Monkey Island etc. Few days ago I got really nostalgic when I saw remastered version of Grim Fandango being released. This genre evolved with Telltale games which added new dimension to the whole experience – there is more freedom on your way through story. Although there are some limitations, your decisions matter and have impact on development of characters, things you encounter and way you finish the game.
During the server downtime I dusted off Crysis2; always fun for a few rounds. So is Battlefield P4F but all my gear is gone on that one.
I really only have time to play STO (when I do have the time). There’s still a stack of games which were ‘must have’ to me when they came out but which I still haven’t finished this very day; ME3, GTA 4, Space Marines (I was a big WH40K fan), Arkham Asylum, Flashpoint… and a bunch of others still unpacked. I even still have a pristine unpacked SW TOR laying around.
I’m tempted to revisit an old online FPS game I was clanleader with, Soeldner Secret Wars. It’s F2P now and what I really liked about it was the sandbox / open world architecture; no hidden walls or limitations, hundreds of vehicles and aircraft and you could literally fly a jet, parachute out and scuba dive to your target and snipe/rocket your target hiding in a tree (which could be blown up and form an obstacle etc). But graphics are very outdated and the servers are prob empty – the laming and spawning really killed it.
Ah good times though.

I have a few others but that’s the bulk of what I’m interested in ATM.
I have Civ 4 and up but I wasn’t impressed with beyond earth. Fallout 3 and new vegas combined through a mod called tale of 2 wastelands it turns them into one giant game and is great. I also love the total war series it a great combination of a turn based empire building strategy and real time combat tactics I’m currently 20 hours into a multiplayer campaign against my brother in Rome 2 total war.

Does Star Trek Catan count?
Otherwise I have Borderlands 2, Skyrim, Fallout 3/New Vegas, Civ IV and Civ V on my regular rotation.
I even load up Counter Strike, Diablo 2 and Freelancer here and there.

Active in GW2 with a guild on Desolation server, play BF4 on occassion and world of tanks though my clan dissolved.
Very much like playing LoL as well with my mate when he’s on. Recently deactivated my eve account after 7 years as no point paying when you no longer log in. Alliance warfare was tiring!
Recently completed MW3 campaign as I love Captain Price and the story is in your face adrenaline stuff.I did like SWTOR and levelled 4 characters but when they folded the proper open world pvp and never brought it back it became very boring. Kinda miss the days of being a pk’er in UO tbh 😈
Besides Star Trek Online I mostly prefer single player games (STO is actually only MMO RPG that got me hooked up to this level and I believe that only GTA Online could do the same). Some of them which I am currently playing are GTA IV (almost finished), Need For Speed Carbon (muscle cars are my favorite, and there’s plenty of them
) and F.E.A.R. (awesome old school FPS with elements of horror). I have more games installed, but I play mostly those 3 I mention besides STO. In some closer future I intend to resume Dead Space which I intend to complete for a second time (it is an awesome game, you got to admit).@fatman592 wrote:

Same here, STO is the only one for me too. But if they ever make Mass Effect MMO, I think that one would get a lot of my attention as I enjoyed the single player trilogy. World they created for that game is really well developed, species they made are really unique and would be interesting to explore further.

It’s totally worth every penny. I got mine off Amazon. The first one shipped to me was supposed to be new, but came without the proper packaging, no “hero” cards and no outpost/starbase pieces. Amazon sent a new one overnight and paid the return shipping, so I was satisfied when a never opened game arrived.
While I’d prefer a TNG theme, the game is TMP style which is pretty nice. The designer really put a lot of effort into the quality of the game pieces, the art and balancing cards. I regret not buying the expansion map, but it’s on my future purchase list.
If you’re looking for a quality game with a trek theme, I highly recommend this game.

Anyone played Star Conflict, MMO that was just added to Arc? I read it was created in February 2013 by Gaijin Entertainment, development studio from Russia.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll have it in mind although I don’t plan on buying one for now.
Just about two days ago completed FEAR Perseus Mandate (the last of the original trilogy) and it was great. Very good game! Moving on to the FEAR 2: Project Origin 😎
Been playing C&C Generals (Zero Hour) for some time also. I never get bored from playing that game. It is one of my first and best RTS games ever!
I would like to recommend Banner Saga, one of the best I played:
i quit playing video games at the arcades year ago. i remember when my wife got nintendo mario brothers for the boys. i can still here the sounds from that game.

Read this whole post as it popped up in my new posts section. I haven’t played Settlers of Catan in nearly 20 years. Though I can’t remember any of the rules I recall having a lot of fun playing it. If you’ve been in Kent for a long time I bet you even know the store I played it in for the first time back then. There was a small gaming shop there years back called Spellbinders. If you ever dig Star Trek Catan back out and need another player let me know!

I’ve only been in Kent for about 5 years, so I can’t say I know the place you mentioned. I’ve just played and got some stuff at Gaming Grounds, kind of a small place, but the owner is super friendly.
I pretty much make my girlfriend and a couple of her family members play on occasion. It pays like regular Catan, so even non-trek fans like it. But I’ve graduated to Star Trek Attack Wing lately. I have the Galaxy, Vorcha, Dderidex vs. Keldon, Jem Battleship, and a Breen Cruiser. It’s fun to play out a battle of the Dominion War.
But yeah, if you are planning on being in Kent some time, pm me and I’d be happy to meet up. Geek out over some tabletop games and such. And I expect fleetmates like Marcase and Damix to cross oceans to do the same lol.
