I see that on my toons when I first log in. It soon goes back to normal with a bit clicking here and there.

Personally I believe its a sign of the impeding DOOOOOOOOOOM that will soon engulf us all.

Are you looking at it while in space? Lots of stats get messed up depending on where you are. For space gear, you should be looking at it while in space. For ground gear, you should look at it while on the ground.

I found that stats on items depends on whether you have your toon or ship displayed. Character items will have higher stats if your on your ship window, ship items will have lower stats if your on your toon window.
