Thanks for sharing both link. I never liked Picard much as a captain and found the Picard series awful. I watched through all of them hoping it would get better, but got worse for me with each episode. I think I will skip the second season. Same experience with Discovery. I really tried to like both, but neither series worked for me. Just my opinion.

May 21, 2020 at 7:14 am #426771What’s indicative is that the article is posted… officially. It’s not an article penned by a bvlogger/twitterati activist type that can be dismissed as fringe. This. Is. Official.

"Boldly bashing Borg to bits since 2012..."May 22, 2020 at 4:27 am #426790It is pretty disgusting that this is an official post and not some twitter crank, its had to believe this series got the goahead if the plan was to humiliate and degrade picard for his “insert sjw buzzwords”.
The people who wrote this series either know nothing about star trek or they are out to deliberately destroy it like what has happened to Dr Who, I guess Kirk is next on the hit list 🙁
May 29, 2020 at 7:59 pm #426899I just had to link this for your delectation and delight. It’s the best review of Picard I’ve seen so far. If you haven’t already seen it, pour yourself a pleasing beverage and keep the tissue box handy to catch your tears of pain and hilarity. Enjoy.

Just to point it out – whether you like or dislike this new course of Star Trek makes no difference. If you like it, great !
I’m glad you found it enjoyable, and hopefully you get the chance to see and enjoy the previous Next Generation-era through Star Trek Online (The Next Generation, Voyager, Deep Space Nine) and perhaps even The Orignal Series.
If you didn’t… well, there are some new Trek series on the horizon far, far away so hopefully the current showrunners get it right this time (…) Though remember that vaunted Section 31 series that’s in eternal limbo…?
Point I’m trying to make is that there is an unhealthy level of toxicity on the interwebs where you’re either in favor or against a friggin’ tv-show. Especially in this day and age there are more important things to worry about.
I’m glad we have so many fleeties that found Star Trek and endeavor to seek out new life, and new civilizations and proceed to join up online to Cannon Scatter Volley it 🙂
