Yeah apparently Renegades has run into budgeting problems; shooting whiz-bang action scenes and now short on cash for filming scenes that are actually part of the storyline.

Axenar is something I actually contributed to, which I’ve never done before. What I’ve read and heard (via podcasts) really has me exited about Axenar, and it looks like a well planned (read: realistically planned and budgeted) project. But, you never know.
The Axenar cast is a long list of BSG actors and Star Trek veterans, check out the trailer; highly recommended.

Regarding fan productions, I’m a big fan of Star Trek Continues. It aims to continue where TOS left off. If you can get over the different cast of actors (which are actually really good, with some familiar faces present) it really breathes the atmosphere of classic TOS.

Update: Seams like they released official trailer for Renegades on April 7th. I noticed some alien in that clip I can’t recognize, anyone knows what species that is?
