I have teamspeak, and love to use it.
History: I love star trek, I have watched all of DS9, VOY, and ENT, and half of TNG (I know, I know, but season 1 of TNG is hard to get through). Star trek: Bridge commander is one of my favorite games ever. I started playing STO a bit after release, but did not keep playing it. I tried to get back into things after the game went f2p but lacked time. I don’t know how much I will play now, but the game seems to be doing well.
Why the 44th: I heard the 44th was a very large social fleet. I am looking for a group of players that can help me get used to the game again, my main is level 47 and so much has changed since I last played. I’m looking for a fleet with an active chat and teamspeak social scene and strong community leadership.

Thanks for your interest in the 44th Fleet. A proper invite will be sent later today.
The 44th is an active but casual fleet, and although we have our own TS server, we have little if any teamspeak activity – communication among our three fleets is still done via in-game chat. If that’s not a problem then the 44th might be just the fleet for you.

This is used to communicate with our 44th Fleet, 44th Delta Fleet and our 44th Assault Squadron (KDF) – we don’t use the game provided fleet channel.

As a new Federation Ensign you will be stationed for 4 weeks in the 44th Delta Fleet, (KDF’s go directly to our 44th Assault Sqn).
After your promotion to Lieutenant you have the option to be transferred to the main 44th Fleet, or ask for unrestricted access to all unlocked Tier 3 and 5 stores.For a promotion to Lieutenant you must meet 3 requirements:
1) Must have either logged into the game or posted on our 44th forum at least once during the review period of 1 month (which starts today);
2) Have an in-game leaderboard donation score of 50,000 fleet credits minimum (either by one, or by your total alts combined);
3) Must be in good standing with the fleet.
Full access to the 44th forum has now been unlocked.
