Palcioz, could I get permission to add @handle to member accounts? I saw some inactive characters from 2016 (tyrom for example) that don’t qualify for Inactive Account list because they probably have some active character so this way I could see their char list more easily. Currently kicking out some players in preparation for ViL.

I actually think that there’s very few topics that should be “Super Sticky”, but use what you think is appropriate.
I suggest we don’t use super stickies. Main deck is usually most visited so no need to have same topic in all other forum in my opinion. Only regular stickies if needed.

Buzz, did you picked Archeros already? You can also check if you like any of the lobi ships. Because ships can be sold on the exchange while in a requisition box. And then buy a lobi ship for example.

Strange, your reply can’t be seen but recent forum activity shows you made a reply:

Dime, packs will be in c-store from day 1 (15k zen probably). And well spotted, with t6 Dominion ships being cross-faction, value of this pack went up for me. I didn’t noticed it at first, guess I missed the “initially” part.

    Congrats! : )

Which faction are you picking ship for? Do you prefer cruiser/sci vessel/escort?

Since I don’t like flying “alien” ships on my main character, I’d go for these two:

TOS Dreadnough Starship pack, and choose the Prototype Dreadnought Cruiser. It has a damage boosting console that can be used on any ship. It comes with 23rd century visuals so if you like tos feel, you will like this one. (image link) …

Kelvine Connie, mentioned by Stuart, comes with Inspiration mechanic which is limited to only some ships. It is the Enterprise from 2009 movie, cheapest t6 connie out there. (image link)

You can check each one on the sto wiki to see what you get. Maybe some feature will catch your eye so go for the most appealing ship.

You can also choose the one that is most expensive on the exchange. I know prototype dreads are going for a lot of EC, I’ll check tomorrow. Sell it to get EC you can use to buy some other cheaper t6 ship.

I’m going to buy the big pack on first day using zen, so I can create a vanguard jem’hadar.

Related to playable Cardassians..wish they make a c-store token so I can change race of my current character. I don’t see a point in creating 2 new characters with next expansion, but that is just me.

Looking forward to ship stats blog.

Here are fleet project slotting guidelines:

Does my name next to S5 Comms means it is reserved for me? I’d like someone else to run Twitter instead of me, in case we find someone enthusiastic.

There is no way to obtain it at the moment. Hopefully we get something similar with VoL expansion.

So far, I have been covering most, usually all Ensign -> Lieutenant promotions, and I communicated these change with promoted player via in-game mail. Mail would congratulate for the new rank, it provided info on stores access, and invitation to join our main fleet if he/she wants. I also described benefits of being in main fleets, and based on their usual replies, there was description on how to leave fleet because they were often clueless, especially new player. There was also instruction on where to ask for invite when they leave fleet. In rare case they still haven’t joined 44th-diplo channel, I would describe how to join.

Also, I usually made sure all ensigns have updated Officer Comment about their LT promotion. For promo to CDR, I checked it less often because that change doesn’t have big impact on their status. And every few months I’d try to track inactive players to write their last online date – I’m glad we now have website tool for that.

I was passionate about 2 week vs. 6 week thing because of that personal contact with members, and my idea of what would be best option for them – what could make their 44th fleet experience better + I still view Delta as alt fleet. I’m glad you guys are talking about make Delta equal to main, that will probably be better in the long run.

I’ll try to post stuff on twitter, although I neglected it mostly because it came from the time when I was fleet recruiter/ambassador, but later I distanced myself from that role. If this means someone else will cover promotions, I’ll have more time for playing and wiki.

Related to number of Jem’Hadars.. I think number of Romulan Republic characters can be a good estimate on maximum we can expect. Romulans were most anticipated faction, players were demanding it since the start of the game so I don’t think JH will be more popular than RR. Roms got 20+ faction unique missions, while JH will probably only get few tutorial missions = less incentive to try them out.  Again, this is just my view, I can’t tell what will really happen. Below is number of RR characters pulled from roster excel tables.

    44th Fleet: 71
    44th Delta: 85
    —————–
    FED: 156
    KDF: 129

@Marcase, I had to take a shower to think more clearly ^^ If we’ll have extended wait period for main fleet anyway, then I’m ok with any option that is less complicated. Don’t want to force additional rank just for a compromise so I’ll drop this subject and support the 6 week thing.

There could maybe be some responsibility for fleet bank.

The total 6 weeks to main fleet wouldn’t be that long as after (2 weeks) Lieutenants could be temp moved to main/delta to buy stuff.

It isn’t much, true. But I don’t think we are improving initial fleet experience for new members this way. Also, we want more people donating Colony World provisions/dil/doffs to main fleet, Coffers need fleet access for example. And I’m sure new members would like to have their main character in more active environment. If this will go through, maybe 6 week period can be for moving second character to main fleet?

Yeah, current rank structure is fine – we would complicate it with additional rank.

I think current 2 weeks to join main fleet is ok because I’d rather see we concentrate more active main characters in one fleet sooner. 2 weeks + 1 month feels too long so it isn’t an improvement for upcoming member, but higher requirement. Light requirements is something that attracts people to join us, the casual part.

Gamma Fleet? hm, that would further spread our characters around and a new dil sink. Current fleets could handle inflow of TOS toons, and I think both fleets will be fine if we clean inactive accoutns list, + some of the Jem’hadars will go to Kdf fleet. Delta is currently at 431, and main fleet at 491. But I can see a situation where eventually that won’t be enough so it is maybe a good time to ask Dragon’s Lair if they are interested in getting a 44th prefix? It is already establish fleet, struggling with getting new members, in good relations with us.

Interesting, glad to hear changes are coming.

    * Do you think we should introduce “Lt. Commander” rank, just to add to member’s sense of progression within fleet?  2 weeks = LT, month after that = Lt.CDR, then 3/4 months after that = CDR, 6/8 months after that = Captain (or Captain remains hand picked). Just an idea.
    * Is there any plan to demote members of retired Fleet Admiralty, who have been offline for 2+ years and we are certain they don’t plan to play sto?
    * About fleet twitter…Currently at 268 followers so it can be useful tool to communicate with STO community. I really neglected it so we should consider changing an owner if we want a more active account. I’m ok with letting it go to someone that would tweet more often, but without doing direct recruitment posts. That would be annoying to our followers in my opinion. If we don’t find a new owner, I’ll try to announce major events like those twitch streams.
    * Speaking of streams, I don’t know how to do that, but I’ll try to show up in-game. There will probably be a spike in participation for special events like that so I expect enough members for a 5 hour long stream.
*About Discord: Our Aussies for example will see more people online on discord than in-game during their prime time so this channel is really important fleet asset as it would otherwise sometimes feel like a ghost town. Maybe “Discord Fleet” originates from that, as it is reality for some members.
    * Akula!^^

Epic space weapons add most to your build performance wise so I would make them a priority when upgrading, but do it only on upgrade weekends. But also consider following when upgrading, as it may be better option in the long run:

Some items like consoles require less tech points to get a higher quality try so it will not be cost effective to apply “special” upgrades on that kind of items (fleet/rep/lobi consoles). Reputation space set (Deflector/Engines/WC/Space Shield) requires most tech points (points gained with each tech upgrade applied) so they are good candidates for key ring upgrade. Here is great excel table which show tech point numbers for each item type.

Also, if you have Temporal recruitment perk which makes your rep gear Ultra Rare XIII, then I would rather use key ring upgrade on mission/lobi space set of very rare XII quality, that you plan to use.

So there are two options: apply to weapons because their impact on your build is biggest (VR XII to Epic XIV for weapons adds more to build then same rarity jump for other items), or go for space set (d/e/wc/s) because upgrading it with regular upgrades will take more tech upgrades/dilithium (Edit: like Paradoxical suggested above, missed that).
