Mainly just looking at aesthetics, but you can mention your favorite type to play too 🙂
I like the big Starfleet cruisers, as I’m sure many of us do, given that I grew up on TOS, TNG, and DS9. But I gotta say, the Odyssey and it’s variants are probably my favorites.
For my Klingon captain I eventually want a Vor’cha battlecruiser. For my Romulan almost anything goes; I’m not married to the D’deridex like I would have expected.

For me it is always the look of a ship more than how well it does DPS. But my some favorites are D9 Dreadnought Battlecruiser Jem’Hadar Vanguard Carrier, Caitian Aspero Support Carrier and Ferengi D’Kora Marauder.
But I think my favorite type would be Carriers, I like having hanger pets.

Graceful and well-designed exterior faithfully-recreated in-game (T6 Temporal Light Cruiser). Awesome bridge layout (in TWoK, too) as well as other interiors… rec-deck, hangar-bay, medbay, engineering and corridors etc. Bit of a mis-step in the uniform design but they addressed that in TWoK. This peerless beauty is my favourite ship in purely Trek terms, as a fan.
To fly and in terms of fun… the T6 Fleet Mogai (mashup with Morrigu/Valdore bits) with the S31 skin… makes me smile 🙂

October 30, 2020 at 6:49 pm #429815I love the movie Enterprise, it’s my favorite Enterprise.
My favorite ship in game is the NX Refit.
It flies well, has good bridge seating, a great trait, and the 5/2/1 layout is perfect for a front-arc dual-beam escort. And I *love* the way it looks, I thought the NX design on Enterprise was all right but add a secondary hull and a brighter, TOS-inspired paint scheme and I’m in love. Looks a heck of a lot more like an evolutionary step between Enterprise and TOS than any of the Discovery designs.

November 2, 2020 at 2:12 pm #429876I admit I do not have a lot of ship experience, but I have to give a nod to the Arbiter. It is the only shipped that has changed how I play the game. It has the aesthetic of a sports car Cruiser with a lot of career flexibility.

November 3, 2020 at 8:53 pm #429882While I enjoy flying the Arbiter and Crossfield, on an emotional level my favorite ship is the USS Excambian NCC-71834.
Named after a 1940 Sikorsky VS-44 intercontinental flying boat which served in World War II and is now preserved at the New England Air Museum, her longtime Captain Gene Pierce served as a cadet on this ship in her original Galaxy-class configuration. Under Pierce’s command the ship joined the 44th Fleet, and was upgraded to the Andromeda (T6) exploration cruiser subtype. The Iconian War necessitated a more radical conversion into the Yamato subtype dreadnought cruiser. She is currently completing yet another upgrade, this time to the (Legendary) Galaxy dreadnought cruiser subtype. This picture was taken yesterday, showing the upgraded Excambian returning to Earth Spacedock after her first shakedown cruise to Starbase 817 Eden.

November 3, 2020 at 10:23 pm #429890Aesthetically, I love the look of the sleek multi-mission science ships like the Palatine. Every ship/zen sale, I play with the idea of finally rolling a science toon just to justify buying the T6 set so I can kitbash something.
My main is a Fed tactical currently (trying to) fly a cannon-based Gagarin. I learned how to build beam boats with a Cardassian Intel Flight Carrier. Both have ridiculously bad turn-rates, but I love the survivability.
