Monthly Fleet Contests

As some of you may be aware, last year I ran monthly fleet contests for various amazing prizes. When I went on my unavoidable absence, they did not continue. Well, now that I have returned, I am bringing them back.

The contests are geared to every captain. They are simple contests that will showcase your creativity and your imagination. This ensures everyone, from hardcore daily players to casual “I play when I have the time” players, have an equal chance to win. Most will require something from the game, like a screenshot or some kind of knowledge about the game, to complete. These are usually simple and not very time consuming. For some examples, go back into this forum and look for my old monthly contests to see what to expect.

The contest will, obviously, be held monthly. They will start on the first day of the month, and end the last day of the month. Everyone in the 44th fleet is able to enter (except those in our 44th Fleet on the Playstation) and win glorious prizes! Once that month’s contest is closed, a fleet wide vote will determine the winner. This will take place on the forums here. Everyone will vote for their 2 favorite entries and the 3 with the most votes win.

Now, in the event there is a tie, we have 3 “judges” who will determine the winner from that tie. They are Marcase, Damix, and Myself. 

In the past, prizes usually consisted of a current lockbox ship, a universal console, and a space/ground personal trait. After a discussion with another Fleet Captain, we determined that this was a bit unfair to the 2nd and 3rd place winners. So in the spirit of giving and trying to make the contests worthwhile, the new prizes are more even. Actually they are exactly even. The 3 best entries, as voted on by the fleet, will each receive 10 Lockbox Keys. What you do with these keys is entirely up to you.
