Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve noticed that the drop rate on prototype tech has been a lot better than before. Just a totally subjective feeling, so I decided to look at the actual numbers. Here is what I discovered.
Kdf engineer. Created 2 months ago (played time is 4 days 7 hours). No normal STFs. Did exclusively Elite STFs (without any set gear):
Total of 75 STFs
KA (ground or space) 18
Infected (ground or space) 31
Cure (ground or space) 26– Complete Honor guard Mark XII set both space and ground,
– 160 EDCs (currently in inventory)
– Complete Mark XII [Borg] weapons (9 pieces on a BOP)
– Borg engine and borg Delector
– 28 rare borg salvage (current)
– 8 Prototype salvage
– 1 Rare ground weapon tech
– 1 Rare PSG shield tech
– 1 rare delector tech
– 2 Rare shield tech
– 1 Prototype Engine techCompare that to Fed tac started in season 2 or 3 (played time is 48 days).

Cure 77– Complete MACO mark XII set both space and ground
– 250 EDCs
– Complete Mark XII [Borg] weapons (10 pieces)
– Mark XI Omega ground set

– 1 prototype engine techNote, I completed the space MACO XII set on my tac just recently this past week. I’d say that the recent drops rates are a lot better than before. Run em now before S7

well there goes my theory. i have not been getting any proto tech lately. i use to get it all the time. i thought maybe it was their way to force us to play for it in season 7.
Same story as Sargon here, got all my proto kit pretty quickly and have now been trying to get the last piece for about a month or so with no luck. Still, I’ll keep trying…
