Greetings 44th!
Welcome to the 28th Sunday Supplemental for Jan. 17th 2021.

This is how we communicate between our (4) Fed and (1) KDF fleets. It isn’t a rule or requirement, but things will seem very quiet in the fleet without it.

Fleet Housekeeping
This is going to be slow week or two for Star Trek Online. The only event currently going on is the Galactic Red Alert. We will just have to make our own fun until the Anniversary event starts.
Xaxial’s STO Hardcore Challenge!
That being said, our own Xaxial has put up a new challenge for fleet members Here
There will be a forum ribbon for anyone who can complete the challenge. There are quite a few rules to make it a real challenge and it is very much based on the honor system, so please no cheating.
Did I mention it was a challenge?? Also, check out Xaxial’s first challenge log below. It makes for some interesting reading.
Regarding the Winter Costume Contest, almost everyone has received their prizes except the two below.

Next up, there has been some interest / questions about Colony Sims. This is something we could certainly do, but choosing a day and a time has always been the hiccup for when we tried to put these together in the past. Plus, it is a 20 person ‘ground’ defense mission. You can do it with less, but it can be a challenge depending on your team. Colony sims are a great way to get Colony Provisions for contributing to the coffers or the Colony projects. This is also a great way to get those Kill Accolades you may still need if you are chasing accolades.

So, if you are interested, comment below with a day and time that works for you. Also, we may be able to get a few people from the Armada (some still need Colony provisions) to help fill out a 20 person Sim.
Last thing… I’ve noticed that there are quite a few Commanders now in 44th Epsilon Fleet. If you folks don’t have any characters in the 44th Fleet, you can have up to two over there if you want. Just let someone from the Admiralty know that you want to move over. Then you leave Epsilon and they will invite you to the main Fleet and promote your character(s) back to Commander. You can also have up to three characters in 44th Delta Fleet as well, so if you want access to better stores just let us know. A Captain or another Commander can also help you out with this if they are willing.
11th Anniversary Omega Event
There still hasn’t been any official announcement for the 11th Anniversary Omega Event this year, but it looks more and more like it will either be the 26th which is a Tuesday or the 28th which is a Thursday. Just keep looking for that traditional giveaway before the event kicks off!

44th Fleet Sunday Speed Runs
Any fleeties need help with a particularly difficult mission? Or do you just need to speed run a mission a few times to get a full set for your build? Simply request a speed run in the 44th-diplo and we will get a group together to help you! Whether it be for farming drops or completing Endeavors, a team is only a request away!
O Captain! My Captain!
In the past the Admiralty has (and still does) nominate members for promotion to Captain. However, we can’t be everywhere all the time. In the 44th Fleet, the rank of Captain has generally been awarded as a “thank you” to fleet members who have gone above and beyond. This includes large contributions of dilithium, doffs, expertise, EC, etc. Or consistently helping other fleet members with missions or teaming up for TFOs. Crafting items for fleet members. Demonstrating unselfish generosity. Offering to help fleet members get their new alts into the fleet. Answering fleet members questions and trying to help out in general. Has been active in the fleet for several months. The list goes on and on……
So if any 44th Fleet member would like to nominate someone in the fleet that they believe really deserves the rank, feel free to contact myself or another member of the Admiralty (Commodore, Vice Admiral or Fleet Admiral) and let us know and we will look into it! 🙂
