i have 3 projects going on right now. first, i am trying to get a purple officer in every specialization. i found some officers cost a lot on the exchange. i need 16 purple doffs. at an average cost of say $3m that would be $48m. this should take awhile. hopefully by converting officers up i might get a few free, but that is a rather slow process.
my other projects are fleet related. i am eager to build a new fleet ship and i am certain i will build it out with phaser weapons, but waiting on tier 2 to complete. also prototype has been really hard to come by lately. i don’t like to raid one ship to equip another.
while i am waiting on the option to purchase fleet ships to become available i am trying to figure out which new fleet ground shields, armor and weapon to buy. with that kind of cost i want to be sure and do my homework. again i am leaning toward phasers as my weapon type.
so what are you up to?
I’m currently working on getting mark XII ground STF unlock. I now have it 1 kdf, and 2 fed, and I’m one piece away on 1 more fed. Armek.. here I come. Haven’t decided if I want to pursue it on my remaining kdf. I also have another fed that was part of the fleet PVP team. But she is mostly designated as doff storage at this point. And then of course, fleet mark grinding for KDF starbase. (we hit tier 1 yesterday, btw.)
A cheap way to get purple doffs is through the exploration chains, if you haven’t done them yet. They are repeatable for multiple purples (of the same type). Also, depending on the doff, some purples are coming down in price because of the demand for commons. Seen some for under a million.
It might be silly, but i’m pounding out diplomatic XP so I can transwarp to DS9.
I’m also trying to upgrade officers and get blue/purple DOFF’s. I’ve actually been quite successful so far in trading white for blue/purple.
And lastly I’m trying to complete every DOFF chain available. The chain’s offer some nice DOFF awards.
On my KDF, I’m working towards the mk xi KHG Ground set. I’m not the biggest fan of ground combat, so the idea of grinding out a Mk XII set doesn’t appeal to me, but I don’t want to be a liability for when I do feel like doing ground. Also, grinding for resources. I kinda want the Fleet Tor’Khat/Vor’Cha, but the improvement in turn rate and inertia on the Fleet K’Tinga I just bought makes it handle almost like an escort – even without an RCS console… so I may stick with the Fleet K’tinga.
On my Fed, I’m basically just trying to earn EC and grind for resources for the fleet base. I can’t wait to get my hands on the Fleet Defiant, and later perhaps the fleet Prometheus.
Just got my KDF to 50, now need to work on getting some good equips and finish up some missions for Undine to get the borg console. Figure out how to improve my boff’s on both toons, get some purple doff’s, farm some fleet marks esp on KDF side, figure out what fleet ships I can afford, and just generally better equip.
MU Assault cruiser. Its in my ship inventory, never taken her out yet. Like you, I’m not taking from one ship for another. I still need at least 1 purple phaser boost, more purple armors and many millions of ec’s yet to earn for all of it. I’d also like more BO slots so I can have ship specific BOs.
