Its def a case of practice makes perfect, but ive always personally found Ground combat more difficult to space combat. I die much more on the ground than in space, but again if u play with a good team it does feel a lot easier.
I do like the ground missions though but like i said its easier to get killed than in space. Plus my experience so far from playing the public Queues has been poor as some times the missions didn’t get completed at all.

Yeah you guys should def get TeanSpeak up and running then run STF’s with us, that way we can just talk you through the elite STF’s. Also you was right about the 10% thing, its an elite thing. Normal STF’s are really easier as you cant really fail normal’s. But remeber thats what were all here for, if u get in trouble or need any advice just ask either on here or in game via the fleet chat or even better using Team Speak.
what do i need to do to use this teamspeak? i talk to people all the time on my pc without using anything since it has a built in speaker and mike. i also have headphones with a mic so my wife does not have to listen to the borg rant and rave endlessly.
do i need software or what??

i have EDCs by the hundreds now, but nothing to use them for really. i buy borg sets and sell them.
You *do* know that you can also buy Blue/Purple Borg DOFFs with EDCs ? and dili as well ?
Just checking.the last time i tried to buy a purple doff it said something like i could only have one of those unique items. i will double check though, just in case.
i have just about run out of things to buy dilithium with, but i think you can sell those for c-store credits? i have not looked into it.
i hoard EDCs and rare borg salvage in hopes that it will become worth something more later, but not holding my breath. 🙂
i revisted the blue and purple doffs. this time it let me buy all i wanted, so i stocked up. my wife has been complainng about having too many whites and not enough purples. i turn in white doffs as often as possible to upgrade. 🙂
July 16, 2012 at 9:39 am #155658so we have new missions and new PUGs. so far i have not made it past round 4 on the no win in a PUG. last night i queue up, in a PUG, for the no win. we go out round 2…. i set there stunned with my mouth open. unbelievable. did get 1 fleet mark. 🙂
July 16, 2012 at 11:53 am #155659Well, i haven’t done no-win scenario that many times, but typically we get to round 5. Then it becomes a bit ridiculous. Those bio-neural warheads basically kill the ship with one or two hits. And you can’t kill the platforms either. All you can do is take them offline temporarily.
July 16, 2012 at 1:02 pm #155660I have tried to take out the platforms, so far that hasn’t worked so well. The starbase def gives good marks and generally doable with a pickup but not always.

the no win.finally made it to round 5. i think using my oddy science heal ship made the difference. i was constantly healing the escort.
round 5 starts….
can’t see anything, looking for escort to heal it….
i’m destroyed….
game over….
i saw nothing but incoming fire.
August 7, 2012 at 4:06 pm #155662almost got through round 5 last night. has anyone made it to 6??
August 7, 2012 at 4:54 pm #155663You know, it is possible to beat the no win scenario – you just need to do something that seems counter-intuitive after doing a million STFs.
The Sad Pandas beat the no-win by basically healing the heck out of the freighter, and putting its resistances through the roof. Dealing damage was secondary.
If folks feel like trying this, I suggest a bunch of engineers and science ships, rather than escorts (unlike an STF, where having 5 escorts with APB and CSV is probably the best way to go).
