Preface: After hitting preview I realized there’s a lot of text below. However, I want to be able to put some thought and effort into an application and allow the reviewers to somewhat get to “know” me as a person. Thank you for the consideration!
Main character’s name: Wit@Xycosis
Real Name (first name only): Merisa
Age: 33
Location (at least time zone): Seattle, WAAlt character names (and please indicate Fed or KDF): Aidoann@Xycosis (Fed Allied Romulan)
Are you Silver/gold/ or Lifetime?: Silver (I had another account lifetime but can’t figure out what it is and Cryptic support has been less than helpful.)
Tell us about yourself (trek/game history, whatever you want us to know about you):
Trek History? Big Trek fan with TNG being my favorite. I do really like the alt timeline that was in the new movies though and that has rekindled my love in the STO characters. My favorite trek convention moment? I went to the TNG cast reunion at Toronto Comicon in 2013 and Sir Patrick Stewart got a question from a fan asking him how many lights he saw and he lectured the fan that it was just a tv show and that they needed to separate the tv show from reality and then he yelled “THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS”.I played in beta but wasn’t too impressed and while I bought a lifetime account I never played live and with the whole Crypic hack in 2012 and things changing over with the sale to Perfect World it looks like my inactive old account has been lost in the process. I finally decided to give STO a shot again since it is now F2P and I figured with a few years it should be a different game and I have been happy with it since restarting a few weeks ago. I have a very busy work schedule these days and I like how I can just do a few missions/stories and not have to group up etc. My favorite “class” so far has been science and the science vessels. All the different heals/debuffs have been fun to play with. My Federation toon just hit Captain and my Romulan is a 39 Commander though I switched back to playing my Bajoran as my main because I like the Federation ships better and found out that max level Romulans can’t access their allies ships. I know, girls and their priorities, it’s not supposed to make sense.
I am not an empire builder and have no plans to climb rank in any fleet. I am very down to earth and will speak my mind and listen to others opinions. Probably deep down suppressed there’s a tiny elitist still hanging out that likes to min/max, raid and do end game stuff but I suppress that tiny elitist and give her a busy work task like re-calibrate the plasma injectors.
I actually got back into STO because I’ve been playing Star Trek Attack wing and it reminded me that there is an MMO out there and I figured I’d reinstall and play.
Why did you choose the Mighty 44th:
Have you read the rules (the rules and regulations are located under the ‘About Us’ tab at the top): (Yes, to the rules)
Honestly I’ve been tired of all the ninja fleet invites that I decided I would go research some fleets and look around and see what was out there. It is so abrupt when people ninja invite you and on top of that when I ask them why I should join their fleet the majority of time I don’t get an answer. Girls don’t like to get the equivalent of poor pickup lines, which is how I see ninja invites.I like how the 44th is based on lore and follows the standard Starfleet structure. I want to be able to join a community of like minded Trek fans!
Based on what I have found, it looks like the 44th fleet has a very well respected presence and maturity level.
Are you willing to use Teamspeak?:
Sure, I have all the chat clients installed and I don’t have any issues logging in and chatting with people.May 26, 2014 at 8:11 pm #160096welcome
