- Previous fleets: I was in one a long time ago but don’t remember the name
- Why join the Mighty 44th? I was looking to start playing a little more regularly again and really prefer to play with people. When I started back up I was playing with my eldest daughter but she wasn’t that interested in sticking with it. Online research today seems like you have a solid foundation and the rules seem reasonable. I’ve played in guilds and been officers in some and this seems like a good organization. Especially if it is an active group.
- Tell us about yourself: I’m a computer engineer and father of 5 living in Oklahoma. I work in NAS Operations Engineering for the FAA maintaining a weather radar. I also sometimes work for my brother coding up industrial process systems that his independent engineering company designs. Then when money is tight I do some uber to make ends meet.
I have played a ton of games throughout my history. I like board games. My favorite is Pandemic. I used to play in a regular D&D group I joined 25 years ago before it broke up about 10 years in.
Online games I play mostly MMOs with stories or groups I like.
I started with Guild Wars during alpha/beta (Mighty Rabbitslayer) in The Lost Haven and was an officer there part of the time.
Then WoW in the Hoards of Haven (Bituhani – Tauren Druid mostly) when the guild group started up in there and played for many years after it broke up.
I have an account in Guild Wars 2 but rarely ever log on.
I bought the lifetime LOTRO account during beta (Wildardoc/Glamdring – Hobbit Hunter) and play that with my sister occasionally when she is free. I love the lore of the universe and early on fell in love with the way that they recreated the world originally. I took my wife early on in the game on a tour to Rivendell as a way to low level character by following the instructions from the Hobbit to get there.
I bought the lifetime STO account during beta as well since I’ve always loved Star Trek and knew I’d want to play it. Not necessarily consistently maybe but at least a lot. I followed STOked when it came online and was bummed when they stopped the podcast. - Do you accept the rules and regulations? Yes
