- Why join the Mighty 44th? I’m returning to the game after several years away. I’d like to have some people to play with, get advice from, and to have access to fleet resources. I like your relaxed policy and your policy on avoiding drama-inciting topics (politics, religion). While UFPlanets was cool, I’m choosing not to return, as I’m not looking for a fleet with formalized structure and reporting requirements.
- Tell us about yourself: I have memories of Star Trek going all the way back to when I was in 1st or 2nd grade, watching it in the living room with my parents. I’ve been a science fiction and fantasy fan for most of my life. I’ve had a few different careers: science teacher, pharmaceutical chemist, IT, and I’m currently a software engineer for a human services organization. I’m married with a 16-year-old son. I’m a regular panelist at Philcon, one of the oldest science fiction conventions, and I’m returning to helping run Otakon, a large fan-oriented anime convention.
