- Why join the Mighty 44th? Just got back into STO from a lengthy hiatus, and wanted to join a fleet that was more casual (and required much less frequent check-ins) than my last fleet; was looking up some guides on ship builds, and ran across the 44th. (NB: I am no longer active with my previous fleet, and have no intentions of re-activating my status with them)
- Tell us about yourself: I’m a Trekkie at heart, and one of the outliers that loved Janeway as my “preferred” captain. I work as a 911 Dispatcher for my city’s public safety departments, and use gaming as my way of decompressing and coping with the stresses of my job. I mainly play PvE in STO, but might jump into PvP if shown the ropes. I’ve actually been playing STO since it’s inception (even have my Deluxe Edition box, and my freebie Red Matter Capacitor), so I guess you could say I’m an STO Veteran? Definitely not an MMORPG newbie, but my only other MMO of experience is EVE (hello, fellow capsuleers!). Also don’t do a lot of “Min/Max-ing” or DPS-hunting, just like to play my part with ships and characters that are, as we say at work, “good enough for government work.”
