Why join the Mighty 44th? I’ve recently started investing a lot more time into STO due to work/life availability. Since loading in, I’ve been ninja-invited to multiple fleets (daily) without a whisper to chat first. I’m looking for a Fleet which is a bit more discriminating and doesn’t just recruit players to pad their numbers. Also, when I searched for active fleet recruitment forums online, the 44th appeared at the top of my searches! Ideally I’m hoping to find a fleet with experienced members who are willing to share the benefit of their experience, providing guidance to players with questions, who want to progress in-game….and not suck!
Tell us about yourself: I’m currently serving in the UK Armed Forces and have done for the last 30yrs. I live in the North of England and a father of 2. I love snowboarding, gin, craft ales, and sci-fi/fantasy movies. I’ve also been a massive gaming addict since the days of Manic Miner and Frogger!
Never really one for consoles, I started out with a C64 before moving onto the 486/586 and original Apple Mac systems, playing X-Wing vs TIE Fighter with a Quickshot II joystick, running around trying to solve Police Quest and Monkey Island, and even Starfleet Academy.
My first MMO was Star Wars: Galaxies back in 2001 before moving on to WoW. Over the years I’ve spent time in some of the big hitters like Age of Conan, LoTRO, Guild Wars 2, and SWTOR. But I also enjoyed dabbling in some of the sadly ill-fated titles like Anthem, Tabula Rasa, WildStar.
