Real name: Stefan Ivarsen
Age: 41
Location: NorwayWhy Mighty 44th:
The short answer is that I mainly want to be part of a wholesome fleet. For years, I’ve been on and off STO, always playing alone. The 44th seems to have an active and mature player base, and I’d like to widen my horizons and engage in more social gameplay.
the Mighty 44th seems like exactly the kind of community I’ve been missing: active, mature, and wholesome. After years of flying solo, I’m ready to join a crew and enjoy STO as part of a fleet.
Tell us about yourself:
I’ve always had a deep love for science fiction, and Star Trek holds a special place in my heart. I grew up watching The Next Generation and Babylon 5 for the most part.
Unfortunately, DS9 and Voyager didn’t air on the Norwegian channels we had at the time, so I didn’t get to experience them until the late ’90s and early 2000s — the golden age of BitTorrent and TPB.
Out of all the Star Trek series, Deep Space Nine became my favorite. It had a different depth, strong characters, and a darker tone that felt more realistic to me (even if a few episodes were a bit awkward).
I followed the development of Star Trek Online back when Perpetual Entertainment held the license. At that time, I was playing Champions Online and was relieved when Cryptic Studios took over STO’s production. I participated in the beta and purchased a Lifetime Subscription before launch in early 2010 — long before the game became free-to-play. No regrets there! I also subscribed to Jupiter Broadcasting on youtube and watched every episode of STOked back in the day.
Outside the game, I’m just a regular guy, I’m balding, have terrible eyesight (+8, for those curious), stand at 173 cm, and weigh around 80 kg — pretty close to my optimal BMI.
