So, the wife has a business and has a website currently hosted on the wix site using their builder. She doesn’t know the first thing about coding, but is there a way to copy to page so that she can move it to a different host? She built it using drag and drop, but is there a way to get behind the scene and copy the coding?
I guess it would depend on how wix operates. Probably they won’t have an export feature – they want to keep you as a customer right? In the end, everything gets translated into HTML which you can get from browsing by looking at the page source. FF > Web Developer > Page Source (Ctrl-U) or in IE > Page > View Source. How useful that is will just depend on how they are processing/storing info. Possibly very useful, or possibly next to useless.
View source, copy/paste.
You’d need to clean it up a little, but it’s that easy.
