    • Why join the Mighty 44th?

I reached the rank of Vice Admiral and saw that fleet credits were required for most of the ships going forward. I also have been playing the game so far as pretty musch a singleplayer experience and thought it might be nice to try and engage in the more social aspects of an MMO.

I found the 44th as one of the top results when searching for STO fleets. The website seemed pretty nice and slick (some of the others from browsing the in-game fleet browser looked decidedly ancient). I like that the fleet embraces casual players, as I would like a nice social environment without a lot of pressure or mandated commitment.

I browsed through the guides on the website and thought they were useful and it seems the fleet has a lot of knowledge about the game which will hopefully help me improve my playing.  I also joined the Discord and saw that it had a healthy and active community which was nice to see and I look forward to becoming a part of it.

    • Tell us about yourself:

I’m a Classics student and that takes up most of my time as well as volunteer work. I have been quite the fan of Star Trek for several years, starting with TNG which remains my favourite. DS9 is a close second and I also like TOS, Voyager and Enterprise. Such a shame that Enterprise got cancelled just as it was coming into its own.

I’ve had STO for a while but only in the past couple of weeks have I really got into it proper, playing fairly intensely.

I like to write as one of my hobbies and one of the projects I like to type away at is a prospective Star Trek series. I also play a few instruments including the tin whistle which I have learned Picard’s Ressikan flute air on. I’m generally a bit introverted but consider myself fairly easygoing company once I get comfortable in a social group.

    • Do you accept the rules and regulations? Yes
