My personal conviction remains: stick with Windows 7 unless you really want the touch/tablet functionality of Win 8, but don’t want to go full Apple instead.

Your opinion may differ, of course, and that’s fine. I’m just stating my position, for anyone who might care, and I’m not going to engage in a debate over this.
